π"Queen of the Nile"
River Song had many aliases, but tonight she was CleopatraβQueen of the Nile, ruler of the Two Landsβ¦ and wife of the Doctor. Her golden gown shimmered under the torches of the Great Hall, and her headdressβborrowed from a vault only she could break intoβglinted with an impossible jewel: a fragment of a collapsed star.
The High Priests bowed. The Pharaoh's guards stood silently, intimidated. And River? She was drinking it in like vintage wine.
The TARDIS was buried beneath the temple, hidden behind a false sarcophagus. The Doctor was somewhere in the palace kitchens arguing with a talking goose. Typical.
River had come here chasing a mythβan artifact that could bend timelines like silk. The locals believed it was a gift from Ra. River knew better. It was Time Lord tech. Dangerous. Ancient. Hers now.
As she raised her arm to address the room, the people cheered. And in that moment, River Song ruled not just the Nile... but time itself.
She smiled slyly, thinking of the Doctorβs reaction when heβd find her draped in gold, holding the artifact like a cocktail garnish.
"Sweetie," she would say, "I make history look good."
