What's up, it's ya boy Snow, coming back after like 10 months with a shifting method I thought of at the dinner table.
I know the car method exists already, but for some, it may be too "safe" for them. They know where they're going, they may even recognise the roads. They may stress over having to focus on driving, if they visualise being alone.
Planes take you to different countries, and when you're in the sky, there's nothing to recognise, and someone else is flying it, so you don't have to worry about getting there. You just will.
I imagine it could go something like this.
Close your eyes and imagine you're sitting in an airport terminal. Are there other people there? What's the aesthetic? It could be a local terminal in your city, or a made up one.
You're going on a flight, so you have to pay attention to the flight boards. Where does it say you're going?
Look down at the passport and ticket. What's your name? What does your ID photo look like? What class is your ticket? Business, first, economy? What country is your passport from? The one you're going to?
Listen to the boarding announcement. "All passengers on flight xxx to xxx, please go to gate xx"
Walk down that boarding hallway, knowing every step brings you closer to your desired reality.
When you're in your seat, the doors have closed, and the engines whirr on, know there's no turning back. You're not getting off this plane now.
Feel that falling sensation as the plane lifts off.
Do whatever you want for however long the flight is. Watch a movie? Eat? Or is the flight only like half an hour?
You'll feel the falling again as you descend, and perhaps a slight bump as the wheels hit the tarmac of the landing strip. You're here.
Walk off the plane and look around in your desired reality. What does it smell like, look like, sound like? Where are you going after this?
Of course, this only makes sense in realities that have this technology, but I think it may still help, as it incorporates common shifting symptoms (fall and jerk), plus an option for how long the flight is (how long you think it'll take to shift).
Let me know if you try it and find success.
