drownsuguy is based on the european folklore archetype of "guy has the worst name you have ever heard and sits in a pond and don't go too close because he'll GET YOU" (see jenny greenteeth, nelly longarms, rawhead-and-bloody-bones, peg powler, etc) he wasn't even supposed to be a qdex mon! i laughed a lot at his stupid name but thought it'd be too silly for other people, but then i showed my community some of my extended non-romhack mons and they seized him like some sort of guy in a pond. people are usually unnerved to find out that's a standard distillery barrel and drownsuguy is enormous.

these guys are of course komondors, also known as mop dogs. i thought turning the mop handle into a unicorn horn was really funny progression. it's a little love letter to gen 1 silliness.

one of a few dr seuss inspired monsters, this two-guys-in-a-llama-suit's pose is based on that one photo of john lenon. recently we were making sure people are not restricted to birds and fish for field moves, so lamyglama ended up with fly for the lucy in the sky with diamonds joke.
