Itâs been fucking years since sheâs seen another human being. Thatâs why, when she was dancing on stage a few minutes ago, she misstepped, because it was a bit shocking to see him there, just totally at ease with all this. Luckily, she doesnât think anyone noticed, because they thought it was part of the show. At least, thatâs how she played it, making it look like she was going into a different kind of shimmy than the one she was planning on. Good thing bellydancing is improvisational, otherwise, she wouldâve been in trouble. As soon as she stepped off stage, though, she scrawled out a message for a bouncer to deliver to him.Â
After throwing on a robe, and running a brush through her hair, back in her dressing room, she paces, waiting. Shit. Sheâs covered in sweat, and trying not to cry even after sheâs had a few stiff drinksâ definitely not her best look for the first human sheâs seen in years, but itâll have to do. Sheâd actually thought she was alone out here, but it's actually a comfort to see something familiar out here. She kept telling herself that this new start was the best thing that happened to her, but she has to admit there are some things she still misses about Earthâ like fellow human beings with shared experiences. Who the fuck knows if he even remembers anything from his life on Earth, if he even had part of a life there, but still, at least she can say hello.Â
