I could be okay with George getting pole if he wasn't being so smug after having benefitted from any of the following:
a) a crash,
b) a bad FIA decision following that crash possibly put other drivers in danger (single yellow over Max' crash instead of double or red), especially with him being a GPDA director,
c) possibly a trackside signaling issue and/or miscommunication that made his teammates believe there was a double yellow.
Like fucking hell mate, read the goddamn room.

EDIT: telemetry and the dashcam has proven George did lift since I wrote this. While I agree that he followed all applicable rules, I stand by my points, especially as he argued (again, as GPDA director) that the single waved yellow was enough to ensure the safety of a crash in a goddamn high-speed corner
