ISO Pysanka Artist
Bit of an odd request, but I would love to find a pysanka artist that would be willing to do a commission in exchange for hollowed peafowl eggs to work with. I would like to have Bug's first egg done (in her colors if possible), in trade for 12+ hollow peafowl eggs (I'm flexible to try to match an artists normal price range's worth of eggs). I would pay shipping both ways.
If you or someone you know would be interested in that kind of trade, please reach out or direct them my way! For customs nonsense, USA only. If not you, I'd love a reblog to help me find someone!
If you aren't sure about how peafowl eggs would be to work with, they are large (~90-100g full, compared to a jumbo chicken egg which is ~60g) and the shell is matte like a chicken egg, not waxy like a duck or goose egg. They have a VERY thick shell, extremely satisfying to clack together. I know you probably aren't planning on clacking them together, but you COULD.
I drain them using an egg-draining tool, a single hole hand-drilled in the wide end. Eggs are washed, drilled, drained, rinsed, sanitized with hydrogen peroxide inside, washed again just in case anything got on the outside, and dried hole-side-down on paper towel. I have a bunch I haven't touched yet, and probably won't get to immediately, if there's some other way you'd like it done.
Here are the ones I have yet to drain, and one with a quarter beside it for size comparison.
And here is Bug on her nest for tax.
It's her first egg from last year I would like done, and I have plenty of photos for colors. Purple, teal, and chocolate/tan brown if it will work.
Thanks for hearing me out!
