The fact that Somali have a specific word for bantou doesn't mean they aren't Black themselves lol
It's important to realize that since everyone is Black in Subsaharian Africa, people and civilizations don't acknowledge each other following skin tones. Dialects are actually a more relevant criteria to distinguish ethnicities or tribes from each other (for example my mom speaks another language (lari) beside lingala despite the fact she's not from an ethnicity speaking lari, BUT she just came out to grow among them so she eventually became fluent in this language.
There are gazillions of ethnicities in Africa lol Which explains the issue of racism and tribalism. That's why Africa got easily got colonized: because its civilizations were relatively small and very compartimentallized and thus easy to destroy.
In Congo, pygmees are being oppressed and considered as savages by the Bantus (the government is destroying the forests where they live). But for a White person they would come off like looking like bantus but bantus are actually very racist against them and would be offended at the idea of being assimilated to them..
Think about how English people considered the Irish a subhuman class or how Western Europeans treated the slavs or Jews as an inferior race, and you'll get the picture of what's happening between Bantus and the pygmees in Congo...
Technically I am "mixed" because my mom and dad are from 2 different ethnicities/tribes but I still consider myself as Bantu bc that's an umbrella term to name the dominant tribe of Congo both my still parents belong to (sorry if it's getting confusing lmao)
I remember a Senegalese girl who was looking down on Congolese because they had ugly "negroid" features unlike Senegalese and she wouldn't stop saying how much prettier they were compared to other African women😐. That girl had a lot of self hate issues (she was bleaching her skin... SMH) so I didn't really care about her delusional racist statement but it truly shows how ”ethnic-ism”(??) is rampant in Africa depiste sharing the same race/skin color.
