A PV-2 of VB-128 in flight over NAS Key West, Florida
The PV-2 Harpoon is one of many Lockheed Lodestar derivatives used by the U.S. military.
The U.S. Navy operated the PV-1 and PV-2, while the U.S. Army Air Forces employed the B-34 Lexington and the B-37 variants.

After WW2 this aircraft was operated by Globe air out of Falcon Field for crop dusting and agricultural transport. In 1985 it suffered a dual engine failure just after take off. The aircraft was declared a loss and written off.

"Attu Warrior" at Midland International Airport
Attu Warrior is a 1945 Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon Patrol Bomber and she pays homage to a little-known squadron that participated in the most overlooked campaign of the war-the Aleutians. The PV-2 was probably one of the least known bombers to have participated in the Second World War, and with just three examples flying in the U.S., it is among the rarest types as well.
