Something is changing, though you don’t know what. Maybe your legs have grown strong as you run endlessly through the trees, across the sands, over the rocks. Perhaps you no longer wonder where your next meal comes from as you have learned what is easily safe and what can be bargained for with the Fae Folk as you pass their hidden homes, hollows, and cities. You exchange words and stories with your brief companions, those who run with you for a time as you flee the beast. There are days when you do not have to run. You can walk. As long as you continue to move it is okay. If you do not linger too long you might even take time to look at the beauty of the world surrounding you. Faerie is dark and dangerous, especially to humans. But it is also very beautiful and impossibly vast. Then a distant sound and once more you break into a run. The gold-eyed Beast still pursues, still hunts. Yet something has changed. You fly through the air, almost laughing with exhilaration as your bare feet move swiftly from grass to stone to grass again. Light as air, quick as a hare. On goes the hunt of the Gold-Eyed Beast...
