OKAY so the doc is at over 8K now ITS GETTING CLOSE OKAY. The boys have banged for the first time. Need to write the s next. 👀. There’s resolutions and good talks and a silly ending that I wrote before the middle because of course. I’m hoping people will still appreciate the Buck and Bobby resolution of it all. It’s a lot of heart to hearts and men crying <3
Anyway here is a bit of it… I’m not gonna share when they get together cause I want that to be read for the first time in the fic 👉🏽👈🏽 but obviously it’s coming! This part directly follows the last chapter:
It’s morning and Buck wakes up in an unfamiliar bed with little idea how he got there. The curtains are open, but the light is dim. He’s underneath the covers, shoes off but socks on. He blinks, slowly recalling last night.
His chest physically aches as he remembers Bobby admitting to him that he doesn’t think he’s ready— that he doesn’t want Buck to come back. His eyes threaten to spill tears like the dark clouds outside and he clenches his eyes shut, he’s cried enough already.
“Hey,” Tommy says from the doorway, a tray of breakfast in his hand.
And suddenly the world feels just a little bit lighter.
Because Tommy’s here and he’s tucked him into his bed and held him as he cried. And he’s made him breakfast to top it all off.
Judo comes pattering down the hall and jumps on the bed by Buck’s legs, looking up at him with those wide puppy dog eyes.
Buck fondly scratches his head, indulging the puppy.
“Thanks,” Buck says, taking the offered mug of coffee.
Tommy stands hesitantly and Buck pats at the other side of the bed— Tommy’s bed— and the man takes the hint, settling in beside him with the shared tray of food.
There’s two plates of eggs and bacon and sausages and hashbrowns, an entire feast served up.
“You’re incredible,” Buck says earnestly as he takes a bite.
Tommy turns a shade of red that Buck doesn’t think he’s ever seen on the man. He scratches his neck and looks surprisingly lost for words, a sight so unfamiliar on the man.
“Thanks,” Tommy mumbles, before taking a hashbrown and eating it in one bite.
Judo seems to have lost interest in Buck’s pets, and eyes firmly locked on the tray of food.
“I already gave him breakfast,” Tommy says with an eye roll.
Buck sneaks the dog a piece of toast anyways much to Tommy’s amusement.
Anyway for now they’re still stupid oblivious idiots <3 but not for very long 😉
