Chapter 1
Marvin has lived a pretty tranquil life (if you'd call being a part of a Satan worshiping cult tranquil) Of course there were things about his life he wish he could change but he was happy enough. When one of his leaders' "Summonings" goes sideways for Marvin, his prince charming comes to save the day, albeit pretty gruesomely, but still.
A Richard Joshua Reeves x Marvin Fic
CHAPTER 2
It’s been two days since R killed everyone. The manor is empty.
It’s weird.
Marvin has tried to feel any sad emotion but he can’t.
It’s weird.
Instead he feels a sort of weight lift from his shoulders. It’s easier to breathe now. Everything feels almost perfect.
Almost.
Someone is missing.
Marvin has been missing him . They might’ve not known each other for long, but he misses R. His calming presence. His protectiveness. He saved Marvin, and Marvin loves him for that.
There are nights where Marvin lays awake, haunted by what could’ve been. Those hands left marks that will never go away, no matter how hard he scrubs. Scars that will never heal. And while he stares into the abyss of his dark room, he longs for the touch of R. To be there holding him. To protect him from those dark eyes full of lust. To protect him from the predator once again.
It’s been two days since R killed everyone and it’s hard to adjust. Food doesn’t magically appear on the table anymore, Clothes don’t pop up washed, and the smell of rotting corpses is starting to get to Marvin. Marvin decides to take a little trip into town. Wandering from room to room Marvin was able to find three wallets—plus the ones he found on a couple of bodies and his own money that he’s been saving up—Marvin has about $500 in cash. With a small smile and a pep in his step, Marvin makes his way to town.
He was met with a lot of stares, which wasn’t that different that the norm. They were known as those “dirty satanic worshippers” so stares were to be expected. The only difference now is that they are directed towards the stench that follows Marvin around, not his mysteriously evil background.
A shower and clean clothes can only do so much when your living space has been inhabited by maggots, rats, and the putrid scent of death. Yet that does nothing to stop the strange women from approaching the seemingly docile Marvin.
“Hey you…” The woman says, a sly smirk gracing her face while she cocks a hip.
“Oh um, hello.” Marvin mutters back, bringing a hand up to rub at the back of his neck.
“You’re from that tragedy right? That must’ve been so scary.” The woman muttered, placing a kind hand on Marvin’s arm and giving it a slight squeeze.
“My names Emery, what’s yours?” Her hand didn’t move. Marvin isn’t dense, he knows what she’s trying to do. Marvin must admit he’s been lonely, and spending his days thinking about R wouldn’t do him any good. Now that he mentions it Emery doesn’t look half bad herself.
“Marvin.” he answers with a slight smile. “Yeah it was pretty crazy, glad I made it out alive.” Marvin says, mainly to please Emery. Of course it was startling but the accident didn’t affect him the way most people would’ve thought.
“I’m glad too. I wouldn’t want your pretty face to go to waste.” Emery winked, fluttering her lashes and licking her plump lips.
“Oh- Uh thanks? “ Marvin awkwardly chuckled out, a dust of pink gracing his face while he became minutely aware of her grasp still on his arm.
“So.. since you were there, I would love to see the place it happened.” Emery says, the flirtatious tone never leaving her voice
‘what’
This confused Marvin heavily. He didn’t fully understand what she wanted from him anymore, his previous thoughts of candle lit nights and sweat ridden sheets dissolved from his mind. But her eyes were still hazy in the way Marvin only saw during his cults ‘summonings’ and her hand was still gripping his arm. So for the quick second those thoughts disappeared, they came right back and flooded his senses.
Marvin grabbed the hand that was previously resting on his arm and dragged Emery along, making his way back towards the manor and deciding that his previous quest in the town could wait till later. The small giddy laughs emitting from the girl only fueling Marvin.
Little did he know there were eyes following him.
Stalking.
Planning.
Getting ready to strike.
