I turned my old speculative species from abandoned setting into its.. ancestor. When I was a teen, I was more into "Cenozoic" versions of dinos.
Thus, cryptid-descendant that I named Psittacops a long time ago turned into real Psittacosaurus.
Honestly not sure π€ Which one gonna be more accurate? I guess no one can give an answer.. Feathered beards is my idea x)
1) means that dentary flanges were covered by skin, so feathers could grow, 2) it was covered in keratin sheath like jugal horns, so I moved feathers forward which create more smooth transition (also can be used in 1))
