okay so it takes place in a world further in the future where the majority of civilization is these massive cyberpunk-esque cities where pretty much everything is automated, high tech, and sleek, and there's very very few places that still use classic (modern, for us) technology for anything

varian lives in a little town that still uses a lot of this classic technology, living with his dad who's more "traditional" and likes keeping things that way

meanwhile hugo's kind of a nomad who travels between a lot of these big cyber cities, picking up money and jobs where he can

then there's this type of virus or infection thing that starts going around, infecting people, food, flora, fauna, and even the air that causes things to age at an exponential rate until they "rot" away into nothing, and it all happens so fast that there isn't a clear way to stop it, and a loooot of people die

the eeriness of these massive cyber cities that're so well-made and automated that even tho they're now completely abandoned, they're unable to deteriorate over time, forced to exist at a standstill with no people inhabiting them

hugo gets himself a respirator, and continues on through these cities, occasionally meeting pockets of survivors and learning (and stealing) things here and there

I think Fatz would be Myth, but I might just be saying that bc it's yellow and he wears yellow

Picking Life for Mitzi feels like the obvious choice, but I think she would ALSO be Myth cause she's chaotic like that and I think it would be funny to see her trying to summon a boyfriend sjfjdjd

Beach Bear comes from a line of Ice wizards, but he's trying everything possible to branch out into other schools. Guy is a master at utilizing school pips

I'm not 100% sure about Dook, but I do know he'd be fascinated with astral schools. Maybe he actually knows how to actually use Moon spells lmao

rapunzel doesn't NOT care about varian! but rapunzel also doesn't entirely understand relationships and what words for them mean. she cares very, very, very deeply for someone, and that means they're her best friend! cass is her best friend! pascal is her best friend! eugene is her best friend! varian is her best friend! a lot of people in corona are her best friend! she cares so so so much, so they're all her best friends!

to rapunzel "best friend" is similar to "i love you", but not all in the same way, like, obviously she doesn't love eugene in the same way she loves pascal, but they're both her best friends! she doesn't love cass the same way she loves varian, but they're still best friends!! she hands out affection very openly.

varian misinterprets this, thinking that he's on a similar level to eugene and cass when it comes to his closeness with rapunzel, because if she calls them her "best friends", and also calls him her "best friend", then that means he's just as important, right?
