idk where you’re all coming from but i hit 100 last night!!! thank you to all of you omg?? for a very long time i wanted to make this blog but wasn’t sure i’d be able to do charles justice. the fact that i made it past 10 followers even amazes me. i love you all so much and want to thank you for making this such a wonderful experience for me. now, without further ado, the pure humans i must acknowledge for giving this blog meaning <3

He can finish off using his powers and then with a snap of a finger he’s dropped like a rag doll with zero warning. When his powers outgrew him and became too immense for him to control, aged eleven, the fainting started. Ever since he pretty much faints every time he uses his powers for longer than a minute.

The more control he gains over his powers the less he faints. He faints because even though he has this bottomless well of power none of it is getting to his life support, everything is going into the plasma, and it’s starves his body of the energy it needs. Once the plasma activates, the life support stops.

Charles eventually had Sean and Hank on hand whenever Alex practiced his powers so they could catch him when he fainted, and Alex got in trouble when he practiced alone because good god, Alex, what if you fainted and cracked your head open!

The length of time he spends unconscious varies by how long his body has been deprived of life force. Sometimes its only a few minutes, other times when he’s truly overdone it, Alex has been out for two days unconscious under the glare of Hank’s specially designed lamps. He usually has a window of about ten seconds after stopping plasma use before he faints, but again it varies. He never faints during plasma use, it’s only once he stops, which is how he can make things worse because he’s unaware that he’s pushed his body too far leading to more and more damage. He has a little celebration whenever he doesn’t faint because it means he’s made progress. Massive progress.

He awoke to the scent of freshly baked apple pie drifting through the bedroom window. It had been enough to force him out of bed, now towelling his wet hair and throwing on some decent clothing. All in time for when he heard a knock at his door, opening it wide to see Henry.

“ You came! ” He cheered, clapping a hand on his dear friend’s shoulder and ushering him inside.

Sean: BRO!! BALLROOM TOO?

Alex: YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT I DID THE BALLROOM

Sean: WOOP!!!!!!

Alex: GET YOUR SOCKS

my opinion on;

character in general: oH MAN OKAY SO.as much as i love o5 hank mccoy (bc i do love o5 hank mccoy so much. i need these trauma kids, i need them to band together and be like a teenage family so MUCH) i have such a soft spot in my heart for the xmcu hank mccoy bc hes so!!! good and loyal and im always!!! like in this new timeline, of everyone to stay by charles’ side, its hank and thats so important to me. im so in lo v e  and like he has his weaknesses and faults and ugliness but that makes him so multifaceted too.how they play them: I THINK YOURE THE ONLY HANK I FOLLOW. honestly, when i think of jasons hank i get so excited bc hes so good at capturing the parts of hank ive mention previously, his loyalty, his mannerisms, his stubbornness--- his geekiness. all of it and mORE, like enriched with so many lil details i LOVE IT TBHthe mun: jASON AND I HAVENT RLY SPOKEN OOC MUCH bc im a bab and also timezones are so awful, ive rarely caught him online, but tBH i think hes so funny and so passionate for his muse and thats like half the battle won tbh. looking forward to when we will chat!!!

BLUE KISS IS BEST KISS

It’s a soft thing, gentle at first. Hesitant, even. He’s never kissed Hank before - not that he’s never thought about it - but in the moment, it feels so right.

“Hank,” Charles had said to him. “I can walk. You’re a miracle worker.”

And now he’s on his tip-toes (His tip-toes!) with careful hands resting on Hank’s shoulders as he presses his lips more firmly against the younger man’s. It is instinct to brush a telepathic Thank you against Hank’s mind - not quite remembering at the moment that it will go unheard. 

“Oh,” Charles murmurs, a blush dusting his cheeks when he pulls back to see a larger, much more blue Hank McCoy in front of him. Charles’ head had been too dizzy with their kiss to notice the shift and, without his telepathy, he hadn’t know Hank had been enjoying it so much. 

Although it’s rather obvious now. 

“Well, hello,” Charles smiles, curiously combing his fingertips through the blue fur on Hank’s cheek. He chuckles before remembering Hank hadn’t heard his gratitude.
