These hearty lentil-mushroom burgers are packed with flavor and protein. They are perfect for a satisfying gluten-free meal.
Ingredients: 1 cup cooked lentils. 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms. 1/2 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed mixed with 4 tablespoons water flax egg. 1 tablespoon gluten-free soy sauce. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin. Salt and pepper to taste. Gluten-free burger buns, lettuce, tomato, avocado, for serving.
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, mash the cooked lentils with a fork or potato masher. Add chopped mushrooms, gluten-free breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, flaxseed mixture, soy sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into burger patties. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Serve the lentil-mushroom burgers on gluten-free burger buns with lettuce, tomato, avocado, or your favorite toppings.
