When I started this campaign many sent messages saying that in Western countries doctor's treat everyone equally and  Indian doctor's do not consider poor patients. To begin with every Indian doctor even in private practice provides a lot of services to many poor patients but they do not make a propaganda of it. Secondly the public health system in every Western country is maintained and operated by the government. Even the govt system is state of the art and all treatment facilities are provided to every patient.

While we intellectualise sitting in the comfort of our homes, what we fail to see is the efforts each student takes to even enter a medical college. The endless hours of hard work after that, the repeated entrance exams to get a PG seat, working in the worst environment in under-equipped and understaffed Primary health centres,the burden of handling each patient attentively while there has been no time to eat or sleep.

And then the people carrying their frustrations beat up these poor students and junior doctors who are only trying to give the best services in the compromised environment. The real tragedy is that those of us who demand five star services from our doctors. support the mentality of the mob justifying the torture and inhuman treatment of these doctors.Can we at least realise that we and our relatives are going to need doctors today and always and that doctors are not unlimited to be killed by others and still be available for us with best services whenever we demand.
