I love tech theater cause I can get asked, "Oh, so what do you do?" and I can respond with the details of the dead body I'm designing.

From Heavy Metal Magazine: H. R. Giger was responsible for creating the conceptual design of Sil, the alien creature from Species (1995), portrayed by Natasha Henstridge. The Swiss artist brought his iconic biomechanical aesthetic —a mixture of the organic, the alien, and the technological— into the character’s design, developing her appearance, transformations, and visual concept. Although Giger did not create the actress’s complete costume, his designs served as the foundation for the prosthetics and effects created by the special effects teams.
During the promotion of the film, Natasha Henstridge was also photographed within Giger’s artistic universe, surrounded by elements of his work such as his famous biomechanical structures and furniture. The collaboration between them remains one of the most striking connections between cinema and science fiction art: Giger’s vision transformed Sil into a creature that combined beauty, sensuality, and horror.
I recently decided that I’d finally mustered enough mana (aka mental health) to return to my cherished police station concepts
I’ve finally finished the style recearch sketches for the two remaining ‘bastards’ — Maté and Gabe. And I’ve also tweaked their close-up portraits a little
And then I went back to the prop list. At first I thought I’d just tidy up the sketches a bit, but I suppose that would've been too easy, so I didn’t stop there and ended up reworking quite a lot of this piece as well
And recently I also decided it would be a good idea to pile even more onto my already packed schedule and start designing a portfolio website. I can’t even imagine how long it will take to finish, but we’re slowly getting there. I hope
It ain't much but it's honest work I suppose

Finished up my Subductor Shotpistol prop from Darktide. The entire thing was 3D modeled by me, then 3D printed, painted and assembled. (Video under the cut.)
I fucking love the Arbites, so I’m going to be making some of their gear and armour, with the hopes of having a decent portion of it done by Halloween.
