okay another level of Chaos is upon me: turns out that for the Graduation Ceremony you can't dance if you don't attend to every single 4 of the practices for the dances. Problem is i'm an ex-ballerina and also i've done some dancing in other contexts too and I KNOW THESE DANCES by heart BUT STILL they require me of going there to practice them.

This would be fun but ! behold! I need to travel 300km/4.5h one way to get there and bc the practicing begins at 12 every time it means that i'd need to take the taxi to the bus station to catch the eariliest bus to Another City - bc i'd need to leave the apartment at 4.30.

Other option is going the Another City the previous afternoon, bunk at friends' sofas and corners for one night and then go to the dancing thing - then kill some hours before the bus home... this is testing me !! But then again i know i can pull this off bc the bus tickets are like 9e one way if i get them in time and it's gonna be in-budget still.. (kind of) but ahh i can't with surprises of this kind !! Of any kind really! They stress me tf out !!

Worse still is that i know for sure that my dancing partner cannot make it to all practices WHICH MEANS that in theory they can be like no you won't dance bc fuck you even if you know the dances too !

I send the organizers an email and asked for advice saying 'the person is conducting an orchestra at This Date so they can't be dancing on Another City at the same time so you see here'

And on Saturday there’s the ball. Guys I’m so excited about the ball. We’re dancing old dances, each followed by a waltz (two dances! Just as is proper!). We will have DANCE CARDS. That is probably my favourite detail. For those uncertain what that means, you can reserve dances with people and they write their name on it next to the name of the dance. This is the most Jane Austen thing ever and I’m just going to take this as my Regency experience and enjoy the hell out of it!

So excited. Also nervous. But excited!
