To Alphys: What are Titan Remnants, and how did they help with your project?

Alphys: Oh, oh! W-What a-an exciting question! Titan remnants a-are a very f-fascinating magical ph-phenomena!
Y-you see, b-back in the ancient times - a-and I mean TRULY ancient, prehistoric - there-there were these m-massive creatures that we now call Titans. T-They consumed the m-magic radiating from the world around them - plants, minerals, a-animals, you name it! It was their food source...and-and I don't mean they ate the things producing this magic, but rather they consumed the magic itself! They were enchantovores.
But, what-whatever it is that killed the dinosaurs...it-it also killed them. At least, that's w-what seems to have been the case. And r-rather than leaving behind bones...they left behind clusters of magic! Clusters that-that continued to consume, even after death. These c-clusters, these Titan remnants, they drew in magic f-from nature, just as Titans did during their time alive...and-and since that magic was-was attempting to feed a being that no longer existed...it created new beings...Monsters!
All the Monster species you see now, they were-were birthed out of these remnants! That's why we're all enchantovores, too! Slowly, one by one, these remnants would become used up, h-having distributed all their magic into these new forms. But still, they birthed thousands of species!
T-Thats why we monsters, we all are "based on" specific things. The remnants drew magic f-from the world around it! F-For example, if it consumed the magic of reptiles, it created Reptilian Monsters! Aquatic animal energy to Aquatic Monsters, Amphibian energy to Amphibious Monsters, mammal energy to Mammalian Monsters, Bug energy to Bug Monsters, bird energy to Avian Monsters, element energy to Elemental Monsters, decomposing energy to-to Undead Monsters! And since we a-all came from Titans, we all have the-the ability to interbreed, to create Chimerian Monsters!
As-As you can probably guess...Titan remnants are much rarer now, be-because they kept getting used up while producing us...but a few remain, dormant. T-These last remnants, their reason for dormancy is that t-they formed from an organ of the Titan made to preserve magic, rather t-than digest it...so instead of creating Monsters to digest the magic, it instead just collected and collected until it-it reached full capacity, and then sits where it is...
All that r-raw, unfiltered magic...it has a-a potency unlike any other source of magic y-you'd ever find. A single drop c-contains just as much magic as an e-entire human soul...the potential, the power of it, i-its immense. But it's unfiltered nature, it makes it unfit f-for a lot of traditional uses. Dangerous, even.
A-Anyways! It's magic h-has something special, a component that-that keeps Monster souls f-from shattering when in contact w-with it! It acts as-as a soul stabilizer! This component, i-it is why we can now do-do direct surgeries on Monster souls! And since it has such a-a high potency, you don't e-even need to use a full drop to do it!
Currently, m-my project is to try and create new Titan remnants, by grafting off of the existing ones and allowing t-them to grow, so that w-we won't ever have to worry about running out and l-losing access to this procedure. But even if the grafting fails, with t-the sheer size of-of the remnants available, we'd h-have the ability to continue this for r-roughly 7,000 years b-before it would become a concern...still! B-Better to try and tackle the issue before the source becomes scarce!

Meth: Heaven should twist itself down to you, bow upon the sound of your voice, bow like grass in the wind! The wind - oh the wind, has it carried my heart's whispers to you? Do you hear its every beat, the pulse of desire, the-
Alphys: Okay, okay, enough! Enough!
Meth: Do not dare to silence me when the cursed waves of the dark sea have befallen an individual such as-
Alphys: Meth!
*Alphys attempts to take the phone from Meth's hands. It is of no use, as he is much taller than her. Instead, it leaves her jumping on her tip-toes. She looks like a puppy whose owner is holding out of reach…
Frisk: (This is kind of pathetic…)
Chara: …You don't say.
Frisk: (Should we do something about this?)
Chara: I think he might kill us if we don't let him finish.
Frisk: (I think he might kill HIMSELF with lack of airflow if he keeps talking faster than he's breathing.)
Chara: I see nothing wrong with that.
Meth: The sea, do not allow it to drown you! And the sirens call, do not give in! There is a lighthouse ahead, hidden in that deep fog! Mark my words, the light will bask you!
Alphys: M-Meth! Frisk had first dibs!
Meth: There are no "dibs" in desire, my dear friend!
Frisk: Chara...please...
Chara: Ugh, fine, I'll take care of it.
*Chara floats up to the two tussling adults and does the unthinkable. They tug the camera out of Meth's hands, dropping it right into Alphys's claws. So they can interact with objects, then? Alphys immediately sprints with the camera. Meth, on the other hand, seems...frozen.
*Frisk is trying hard not to laugh.
Chara: Satisfied, princess?
Frisk: (Yes, my angel. Extremely.)
Alphys: A-Aha! You-you dropped it!
Meth: I would never release my grasp on an opportunity such as-...
Meth: ... *Frisk clears their throat.
Frisk: A-As I was saying! I would not consider myself the "savior."
Chara: You are far too modest.
Frisk: Most of that credit is owed to someone far holier than I.
Chara: ?
Frisk: ...
Alphys: U-Um...who-who are you referring to?
Frisk: My angel...
Chara: !!!
Chara: F-Frisk!?
Alphys: O-Oh, I...I didn't realize you were the-the religious type, Frisk!
Meth: ...I would have never placed you as such, either.
Frisk: And I would have never placed you as the type of man who loses all rationale at the sight of-
Alphys: OKAY, this r-recording is long enough! Th-Thank you, Sam, for the response! I-I assure you, you a-absolutely deserved every c-compliment!
Meth: You deserve worship! Perhaps I shall add you to my religion!
Frisk: Please play music for us someday!
Meth: The gates of my mind will stay open for you, and your presence within my dreams shall-

Prometheus: Love the most? My, what a nuanced question. It's hard to narrow down...I jest! I know the answer right away! Loyalty, I love loyalty the most. There is nothing I despise more than people who will stab you in the back and watch the life leave your eyes.
*Chara continues dancing around, clearly delighted by the acknowledgement. Frisk is too stunned to pay attention to Meth's antics...*
Alphys: ...
Alphys: ...I-I, uh...I agree with Meth about l-loyalty, eheheh...but I also l-love p-people with p-passion!

Alphys: U-Um...Frisk are you...okay?
Frisk: Huh? The question, erm, the question was- right, yes, sorry, zoned out for a sec! W-What I love most in a person is...protectiveness. And maybe even...a little bit of possessiveness?
Meth: How interesting!
Chara: Well, what I love most in a person is open-mindedness and resilience!
Alphys: T-Thank you for another lovely question!
*Frisk and Chara step aside to answer the second half, which only they received.
Chara: Finally, some well-deserved recognition! This is for you, splendid viewer! My absolute favorite thing about Frisk...is that I can always prove them wrong!

Chara: Alright, alright! My favorite thing about Frisk is that...even when they are angry and tired...and the world is against them...they find a way to win with kindness.

Meth: The only thing wrong here is that my ears are left melancholy, aching for the sweet serenade to caress and grip my eardrums! Oh, what lost potential! If only he'd taken them into his sweet ivory hands, stolen them away to tuck beneath his pillowcase, to enrich me every twinkling night!
Alphys: Stolen your...eardrums???
Frisk: ...
Meth: Yes! To take my eardrums is to be more intimate than to take my heart! The only act of intimacy which exceeds would be to reach a limb into my brain and take a squeeze! Though, with the right lyrics, it may be achieved simultaneously!
Alphys: U...UM???
Frisk: ...Do-Do I need to leave???
Chara: To my audience - I would like to tell you that he's having a brain aneurysm from being so GAY, but unfortunately this is just how he speaks.
Meth: Oh, such dedication! To turn oneself in for the sake of ones family! There is no greater act of loyalty!
Alphys: I-I don't think this is a very appropriate response-
Meth: Appropriate? How might I be any more appropriate than to tell a loyal man how charming and desirable he is?
Chara: I do believe this is what people nowadays would refer to as..."simp behavior."

Note: This takes place during the DH comic, not too long after Monsters have been freed from the underground.
When characters discuss their pasts, it is canon for the DH comic.
However, anything in the present or future of this ask series is an alternate timeline, and does not reflect the direction that the DH comic is headed. In the DH comic, this ask blog does not exist.
Rules!
-You are allowed limited AU shenanigans. You can have alternate versions of the UT cast send in asks, but you cannot have them physically interfere (ie; no Error Sans appearing in the lab to mess things up.) This also means you can’t have them touch our characters (ie; no Frisk-on-Frisk hugs.)
-You can send in your own/your ocs physical interaction (ie; hugs, head ruffles, etc) to the characters, but whether or not they accept is up to them. They may not consent to being touched.
-Absolutely no sexual asks to Frisk, Chara, or any other kids.
-Sexual asks are allowed for the adult characters, but nothing pornographic (ie; "Are you a virgin", "have you ever hooked up with [insert person]?" and similar questions are acceptable, but "have you ever [insert sexual act]" is not acceptable.)
-You are allowed to send simping asks to the adult characters (ie; "You're so hot"), but nothing pornographic. Suggestive asks of this nature are on thin ice (ie; "I wish we could spend some alone time together" is acceptable, but "I wish I could [insert sexual act]" is not acceptable.)
-No using the wrong pronouns. If you send in an ask with the wrong pronouns, it will not be answered.
-No sending asks to characters who aren't currently present. This ask blog is centered around Meth, Frisk, Chara, and Alphys - however, occasional guests may join in. When guests are present, you may send asks to them, but you can't continue when they are no longer present.
And, of course:
-No ableism (this includes misusing terms like narcissist, sociopath, psychopath, psychotic, bipolar, OCD, etc. It also includes treating people with personality disorders, behavioral disorders, paraphilic disorders, addictive/dependant disorders, etc as “inherently evil” or “inherently abusive.”)
-No sexism, misogyny, transmisogyny, transandrophobia, exorsexism (including xenicphobia), or intersexism.
-No homophobia, monosexism, aphobia, or polyphobia.

Prometheus: That being said, Frisk is a teenager...they have certainly heard of meth. And I am fully aware of my nickname's meaning. It's very intentional.

*Frisk and Chara go to another room for their question.
Frisk: Human souls have seven main types, but according to Aunt Alphys, some have more than one color. It's really rare though.
Chara: The seven main types have different shades of their color, depending on a person's magical strength and corruption levels.
Frisk: There's also anomalies where human souls don't fall into the seven colors, but that's even MORE rare than a soul having more than one color.
Chara: The rare colors are pink, brown, tan, gold, turquoise, light grey, dark grey, black, and see-through.
Frisk: They don't seem to have any new magical abilities, though. They're just shoot-offs of the typical seven. Pink for red, brown and tan for orange, gold for yellow, turquoise for green, light grey for cyan, dark grey for blue, and black for purple.
Chara: See-through, though, was back in the vampiric era, before the colors really became a thing in humans.
Frisk: This isn't exactly what you asked, but Reapers have rainbow souls when their magic is overloaded. They aren't human, though.
