Ive got two tats since march (my mom wanted me to wait till 21 but I couldn’t wait) they’re relatively small but one means so much to me. Got some self harm scars too and I totally agree with you that its a “prettier way” i’d really like to see your tats if you don’t mind ofc. I got this one, my first one in 2012, when I was 21. I went to Detroit for my best friends University graduation, and we got matching Heartagram tatts, it's the logo of the Finnish band, HIM; on out left wrists. My mom doesn't like tattoos, thinks it's mutilating your body, but respects that my siblings and I have them.
This one is my second tattoo. I got in 2015, with my sister, when my gram died. It's the mathematical Infinity Loop and the SemiColon, on the inside of my right forearm, below my elbow. My sister got a SemiColon too, on her wrist, (forget what arm) using the SemiColon as the of a butterfly. We got them, because my sister learned about a project, Project SemiColon. It's a project of recognizing and in solidarity of suicide, depression and other mental illnesses, because va SemiColon is a punctuation mark, used for where a sentence should have ended, but instead kept going. With my being Autistic, suffer from depression and suicidal tendencies, among other things, she got hers in support of me, and to remind me of the beauty, like a butterfly, in life. I got the Infinity Loop to remind me to keep going.
