[text] Thank you for trusting me. I know Layla hasn't exactly had a perfect stay here but I want things to be better for all of us.

Jason had been cupped up in his house for days now. Long enough, actually..that he had been aching to get out, get some air somehow and shake things off. He hadn’t told a soul...not even Sabrina, when she visited him this morning. He had just hopped into his car and driven far out, unsure of where he was headed to at first.

Of course, that ended up leading him to a an area close to a bar. Classic Jace. He tried going in but..he just didn’t..have a heart to, and popped a cold one open in the parking lot, definitely not bothered by the cold air that had started picking up lately.

His thumbs skimmed over the bottle, his feet crossed, and he rested his weight on the front of the car. He felt weird..weirdly strong but none of his super senses besides healing and smell, had manifested themselves yet. So that was good...he just had to figure out what it all meant now.

It was then, that he heard some steps from behind, and stilled, straightening up his back a bit. Jace thought they would go..but when they didn’t, he let his lips part softly. “Hey there.”

A vampire as old as he was could twist and change shape into a bird or bat, walk silent as the grave, practically disappear into the shadows. It served him well in the human’s world, but now Wat didn’t see the point in giving the new wolf a scare. He liked Jace, and in fact he liked most of the wolves he encountered on the island, never understand such ages old dislike between the two species. Peace and harmony at last, at least here.

“They don’t take kindly to bringing your own beverages, you know.”

Wat walked up to the man and grinned, glancing down at the tee shirt Jace had given him that very day. Shakespeare chewing gum, ‘Quit making drama, you’re not Shakespeare’. Wat loved a funny teeshirt. He wore a hoodie over it, with the beach night air being a bit cooler, though he didn’t feel the cold. But it was a better look and some poor thing would have forgotten, complain of such cold and Wat would gallantly offer his zip up and gain an adoring fan to bed later on or terribly soon. He doubted he was Jace’s type, however.

“Thanks for the Christmas gifts. Happy Crimbo, as well. How’s the new body treating you?”

From tales he had heard there was a terrible pain and risk of life with turning wolf as it was for vampires. Maybe not quiet as drastic, having to be buried and all that. But there was an adjustment period, probably even a loss of control. That, Wat could understand. And something about Jace told him that would be unbearable.
