After some years of erratic career, Karine Alexandrino makes a great comeback into the Brazilian indie scene. Feminist, performance artist, singer, and songwriter, Alexandrino returns with her character Mulher Tombada (which means “fallen woman”) to close Producta, a trilogy of albums starting with Solteira Producta (2002), followed by Querem Acabar Comigo, Roberto (2004) and now Mulher Tombada (2015). In her own words “Mulher Tombada is a hysterical manifesto. Producta is a completely honest and autobiographical trilogy. It is the raw material of my life. I do not drink any more or use illegal drugs. I just use Rivotril. And if I fall, I make a new event on Facebook.”
