A/N: Part 6 of the bloodlines au! This time with a few answers/confirmations ;)
[First] / [Prev] / [Next] / [Full Fic]
.
The problem with immortality, is that one rather loses track of the years.
And somewhere along those years, Abolish has grown up.
Despite Aric's misgivings, Abolish has not succumbed to either death nor vampirism. Instead, he has grown taller, stronger; now he is the fractured mirror of his father, meanwhile Morcant...
He's never delayed a succession this long before.
It's as Morcant hands Abolish his latest assignment (there's a fledgling vampire getting too big for her boots on the eastern border of his territory) that his ward lingers. It's just the two of them in the study, and Abolish stands in that almost-military stance that Morcant never taught him but neither did he discourage. He does not hide the way his gaze roams.
"I thought you said vampires are immortal," Abolish says. It seems apropos of nothing, except Morcant has known this conversation has been a long time coming.
"We are."
Abolish doesn’t answer immediately. He looks, instead, to the head of full-grey hair. The face lined with age. The hands with skin now thin and liver-spotted.
"You're getting older."
"Some vampire lineages will take on the appearance of ageing without human blood," Morcant says. "It helps to blend in better with humanity."
"Can it kill you?"
"It can be... inconvenient."
"Then drink human blood," Abolish says, as if it's that simple.
Morcant laughs, fangs exposed, and it's been a long time since the glimpse of his teeth unnerved Abolish. "Whose? Yours?"
"If it needs to be, yeah."
The laugh gutters in Morcant’s chest. Foolishly loyal. Isn't that how he had described Abolish to Aric?
"And you don't think the locals will talk if their lord suddenly looks two decades younger?"
Abolish makes a disgruntled sound in the back of his throat, the kind when Morcant is playing chess to deliberately thwart him instead of outright winning. "Then don't drink enough for two decades. Just a year or so."
"People can still count, Abolish."
"Then we move. We go somewhere new where people won't know us, and we start fresh."
Abolish, Morcant has learnt over the years, keeps his emotions close to his chest. He'd be a good vampire, in that regard. Morcant has heard Abolish sound: bored, exasperated, politely judgemental (Morcant’s quite proud of that, actually), even laugh from time to time, but the emotions he lets loose are scooped from the shallows of his heart.
There is, however, a new note in his voice. Morcant won't do him an injustice by calling it desperate.
"I have ruled over Blackwyn for five hundred years," Morcant replies. "I have no interest in leaving it now."
It takes effort to establish territory. Anyway, he's just got this place how he likes it.
"Then what is your plan?" The note has recoiled, and the far more familiar judgement has reclaimed its place. "If you're intent on staying here, then what are you going to do about it?"
Morcant looks to his ward, his sucessor, his living weapon. To the boy who was never meant to live this long.
To his plan.
"I'll find a way."
.
It's as the full moon is rising that Aric lands on the study windowsill, cloaked in bat form. Abolish is still studying in his chambers – the mortal barely seems to sleep, and Morcant isn't sure if that's a human trait or his own influence – and it is rare to see Aric nowadays with Abolish so close.
"Come fly with me, old friend," Aric greets, and for once the old is more fond than mocking. "That is, assuming that diet of cows hasn't weakened you so far yet."
Morcant reluctantly lowers his book. "Do you really think me that far gone?"
"I think you're going too far," Aric replies, and it's not really the same thing, and they both know it. "Come along, Morcant, when did you last fly merely for the joy of it?"
Morcant sighs and rises to his feet. If an old friend wants to talk, then these things are better dealt with promptly – even if he knows exactly where this is going.
They are above the forest, beyond the manor, when Aric finally speaks.
"The human is old enough now. It is time."
Morcant glides on an updraft. Just because he knew where this conversation was going didn't mean he had an answer.
He's not even sure he knows himself.
"I rather think I get to decide that."
"What reason do you have to delay?" Aric demands. "Deprivation of your pet attack dog?"
"He's been a helpful asset–"
"It's not what he's here for." Aric lands on the branches of an old oak, unusually heavily. "I think you forget his purpose. I think, old friend, you forget who you are."
Morcant alights on a neighbouring branch. The retaliating hiss slips out on millennia-honed instinct. "Are you making threats?"
"I am doing little more than stating fact. If that's a threat, it's up to you." Aric shuffles along the branch, his wings kept in check, no attempt to intimidate as he nears Morcant. "You know," he says, and the venom has retreated, "I defended you, at first."
"I don't need defending."
"That elder up at Blackwyn, others would say," Aric mimics, "he's a funny one. Hides amongst the humans, even starves himself of their blood so he can age like one. You've always been an oddity, Morcant," and the name is dropped with distaste, "but I've stood by you because I trusted you to know the difference between fact and fiction."
Morcant hears the past tense.
"I accepted your little succession habit to be a personal quirk. A harmless way for you to bide away eternity. And even when the Veylocke child grew up, I gave you grace, assumed it was another one of your games. I thought, maybe, you planned to inherit a human lineage – let the boy grow, let him have a family, and then kill him and take the son and repeat the process. I thought you might have decided it an easier solution to finding a candidate every generation."
"It wouldn't have worked," Morcant says. A memory flits. "The humans get... irrationally protective of their young."
"It worked last time."
"Alaric is dead."
"And who’s fault is that?" Aric shoots back. "You should have been quicker with the succession. The longer you delay it with his son, the more you risk some ill coming to him." He curls a lip, and, even in bat form, his teeth are uncannily sharp. "If you're so insistent on tarrying, perhaps I should take him in. Keep him safe and thralled until you find your fangs."
Morcant slams into Aric, shifting from bat to vampire and embedding his claws into the meat of Aric's shoulders. They land on the forest floor, and it is all Morcant can do to keep from drinking.
"You keep your teeth off him," he snarls.
"Why?" Aric snaps. "It's not like you're making use of his blood."
"In time–"
"The time is here! The time has been here for years! Drain him and be done with it."
"I will–"
"When?"
"Later–"
Aric's laugh cuts through Morcant’s words. There is a cruelty embedded in the sound that Morcant has never heard directed his way. "Do you want to know what else they say about you? The other vampires? They say you're growing soft. That you've been wearing Morcant Thornvale's face for so long, you're actually starting to believe it."
"I could rip your throat out–"
"Do you remember him?" Aric demands. "The real Morcant?" There's no fear in his voice, no unease in being slammed to the ground by an enraged fellow elder. Only venom. "The bookish young scribe who wanted to see the world? The man you lured to your home, who trusted you, and who you," he says, his voice rising, "drained every last drop and took his name? Where did you bury him, Morcant? How many bodies are there beneath the Blackwyn grounds? Why should you hesitate at just one more?"
"Abolish–"
"Is human," Aric snarls. "So treat him like one. Or should I worry that you've come to care for the mewling mortal?"
"Watch your mouth."
Aric only smiles, all teeth. "I had worried that maybe I was going too far, but now I see I'm almost too late. Sorry, old friend, for letting you sink so low."
Ice pools through Morcant. "What have you done?"
"Oh, don't worry. I hired humans – less chance of them losing their wits at the scent of blood. They're under strict instructions to leave him alive. Just." The smile softens, as if he's doing Morcant a kindness. "He'll survive long enough for you to drink from him. But you'd be amazed what humans can live through."

You hosing down your space marine because he returned from a battle completely covered in dirt? Okay, pretty funny. But how about the opposite?
Let’s imagine that before the heresy, during the time when Fulgrim was trying to domesticate his brother Konrad, there were also some interactions going on between their two legions. Some marines would be a little curious about what their cousins are up to, and after a while of chatting about their respective battles and planets, some trades would occur. It’s simple really, like trading pretty looking pokemon cards at the school playground. A night lord talks about how he stole a knife from a dying nobleman, and an emperor’s child likes the knife enough to trade it for a handsewn quilt that he also stole from a nobleman. When you’re a space marine you only really get to interact with your own legion, so anything new is always going to be met with a lot of interest. And not to mention it forms a(n albeit small) sense of camaraderie between them, so Fulgrim lets it slide.
So at one point a night lord takes interest in something an emperor’s child has, a book with a large collection of sewing and embroidery diagrams meant for leatherwork. And while the emperor’s child lost interest in it years ago the night lord really wants it, saying that he’s always looking for new ways to embellish his skin cloaks. So while a little disgusted, the emperor’s child lets him have it in exchange for… you.
You are… not someone he expected. When his cousin told him that he would be getting a serf in exchange for the book he considered him stupid, how could an entire mortal cost as much as a handbook? But when he saw you he was taken aback. If all the serfs on the nightfall looked like that then he could see why the night lords didn’t value mortal lives. You were unkempt, underfed, the clothes you wore were far too big for you. It didn’t help that the night lord decided the best way to present you to him was by tying you to his bedpost, like you were an animal at the slaughterhouse.
You do your job well, he will admit. His room is cleaner than ever before, but the same can’t be said about you. Despite you trying to cower and hide every time he gets close to you, he can still see how much you’re covered in grime. Your hair is clumped together with grease and dirt, the wounds (that you keep scratching) on your arms and legs are covered in dried blood, and you smell awful. Did no one teach the night lord’s serfs about basic hygiene? He can’t ask you, since you can’t speak Gothic. But he assumes that’s the case, because every time you have the option to bathe you instead decide to hide in a vent somewhere.
After a few days of living like this your marine decides that he’s had enough. You look bad, you smell terrible, and if you’re not going to take a shower he’s going to make you take one. So when you’re busy cleaning his room he storms in and picks you up, taking you to the communal shower area. And the entire time he’s carrying you he can hear as you cry and plead about.. something, he doesnt speak your language, but from the way you’re clawing at his armour you’re probably demanding to be let go. And sorry, that’s not gonna happen. He prefers his serfs without any infections thank you very much. He carries you to a smaller area of the baths and into one of the private rooms reserved for diplomatic guests. When he gestures for you to take your clothes off you’re too frozen in fear to react, so he undoes your filthy robes to reveal-
Oh.. Oh.
This entire time he’s assumed that the night lord had given him some wretch from the lower decks as an exchange. But now he sees the patchworks upon patchworks upon patchworks of scars across your entire body. He can also see chunks of partially healed skin on your back and thighs that eerily resemble the flesh on that night lords cloak. You weren’t insane or feral, you were trained to act like that. A small prey animal beaten into subjugation over and over again until all it knew was how to stay quiet and submissive. Thats why you cowered when he approached, that’s why you never even attempted to speak to him. You were terrified of him.. and he didn’t even notice.
And here ladies and gentlemen, is the moment a space marine feels empathy instead of his usual entitlement. Because now he’s gently guiding you into the bath, trying to ask you what temperature feels the most comfortable for you. He angles your head so the shampoo won’t irritate your eyes, he puts scented oils into your hair, he washes your body with such care that you would think you were made of glass. The entire time hes speaking to you in the most comforting tone he can, you don’t understand him but he thinks it’s better than awkward silence. When he towels you off he notices that you’ve visibly relaxed, and you’re also very tired. And the moment he puts you in new clean clothes you once again start crying, but this time it’s different. Happy tears. No one has ever treated you this kindly before, and you nearly fall asleep in his arms when he carries you back to his quarters. So he decides to let you rest for today, and the day after, and the day after that. Have fun with your new (nicer) space marine husband.
Sorry that this is so long and angsty lol. I just got inspired
I love how this started out as a meme sentence, and then descended into a legit sad story. I love my new Emperor's Children husband;; I have nothing to add to this, bravo

Guy looked around the capital of El Dorado, somewhat fascinated by the lights glistening illuminating everything. Leon hadn't been in, when he had arrived at the castle. And everyone had been rather unwilling to tell him where exactly the lord of the castle had vanished to as well. It hadn't been the first time, so Guy was somewhat accustomed to waiting for Leon. Though maybe he should start actually announcing himself before he just showed up at Leon's place. That might prevent situations such as these to occur.
"Lord Guy, please go back to the castle."
Guy laughed and shook his head. He kept looking around. While he had heard of this Christmas thing that was celebrated in El Dorado, he had not yet heard of this special market going on right now. And Claude had said something about it. Which he definitely was regretting now, at least going by the way he was running after Guy.
"Aw, don't be like that, Claude. I like El Dorado during winter. I'll behave, Leon won't notice a thing," Guy called back to him.
Though, Guy decided, it was Leon's own fault. For not anticipating Guy's visit. Yes, that did sound more like it. He should have at least noticed Guy arriving, and coming back from where ever he had run off to this time. One thing Guy had been sure of was that he hadn't been in the castle.
Guy stopped at a stall, looking at the small ornaments on display. While also allowing Claude to catch up to him. Leon's knights were always so painfully fun to tease. Just like their Lord and Master. But Guy did still have some amount of respect for them. At least the stronger ones.
"I am under strict orders, Lord Guy," Claude said.
He wasn't out of breath in the slightest. A testament to his endurance, as Guy had not been lenient with his speed. Though he did not expect anything less of the one chosen by Leon as the leader of his army.
And always the one having to babysit him, whenever Guy showed up while Leon was out of his castle. In a way did Guy pity him. Surely he had much more important things to take care off. But then again, it was also partly Leon's fault.
"Now come on, it's…"
Guy trailed off as his eyes were drawn to another stall. Though not the wares were intriguing him, but rather the sole customer looking at them. Guy couldn't see much of him, but he did know him to be a man. With shoulder length silver hair, reflecting the light surrounding them in a slight mint colour.
"Who's that?" he asked.
Though the thing that had ultimately drawn Guy's attention to that particular man, was what he could sense. Or rather what he couldn't. The way he was expertly hiding his magic power. Appearing much weaker than he definitely was. Though the only thing Guy could tell was that something was off. That he was hiding just a little bit
Claude followed his trail of view, before temporarily stiffening. Guy almost wouldn't have noticed it, if he hadn't looked at the knight in the right moment. He did stay silent for a while longer, before letting out a long sigh.
"Most likely an adventurer, why did you ask?" he answered.
Guy smiled at that and turned his gaze back onto the stranger. He simply could not believe that Claude was not fully informed what kind of adventurers entered and left El Dorado. Just in case one of them could pose a threat to Leon.
Not that there were many who could match him. Especially not when he did get serious about fighting. Which he did by far not often enough for Guy's liking. But it was somewhat endearing how his subordinates still cared for him in this way. It was a testament to their loyalty.
"I see. Go back already, I've found my past time," he said.
Something was very interesting about this man he was seeing. And Guy wanted to know what exactly it was that drew him in. So he would follow him around a little bit. Right now he didn't seem to have noticed Guy yet. Though Guy himself was hiding his power as well.
Claude let out another sigh before shaking his head. There was something the knight wasn't telling him, and Guy was very sure he also wouldn't proceed doing so, even if Guy threatened of tortured him. Which he wouldn't do, because then Leon would get angry at him.
"Lord Leon will not be appreciative if you harass visitors to his country," Claude said.
Guy chuckled and nodded. He wouldn't harass him. He would back off when he noticed that his advances weren't welcome. He did know how to take a serious no after all. And he just wanted to have a little bit fun, until Leon was ready to entertain him.
Ultimately he first wanted to claim Leon as his, before he pursued another interest. After all, while his 'no's were given out freely to Guy, they were never that serious in tone. More annoyed, because Guy decided to flirt with him in public.
"I won't harass him, I just wanna say hi. And then I'll come straight back to the castle, promise," Guy said.
He would just see what was up with this man, and whether or not the secret was worth knowing. And then go back and wait for Leon. Or maybe by then Leon would already be waiting for him to come back. Guy turned his attention to the knight next to him, as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.
"Come on, surely you have more important things to do, than play babysitter for me. I'll explain it to Leon, if he finds out," he added.
He definitely would, after all it wouldn't be Claude's fault, if Leon found out. Unless he told him himself, then it totally was his fault. But it wasn't his fault, that Guy wanted to have a little fun and was bored.
And even if he didn't have anything else to do for the night, he could definitely use some time off from his duties. To just relax and take care of himself. All of those knights were as big workaholics as their master, really.
"Fine, but please, I beg you, Lord Guy, do not cause a disturbance," Claude said.
Guy brightly smiled at him and nodded. Partly glad to be rid of his babysitter, to freely roam this Christmas market thing.
He did wave after him, as Claude retreated, walking back to the castle. A slight slump in his step, so unlike the uptight knight Guy knew rather well by now.
"I won't~ See ya~" he called after him.
Guy watched as he vanished within the masses, before he turned around to view his new target again. His smile turning more predatory, as he slowly approached the stand. The man was still looking at the wares in front of him, once in a while looking up as the shop keep said something to him.
He pretended to be another customer, looking at the wares. Magic stones, and of high quality at that. Guy could see what had drawn an assumed adventurer here. Especially if he would be able to use magic to some extent. Or was able to craft something from this. As he stood next to him, he finally was able to get a proper look at him as well. Hair neatly tied back into a low pony tail, orange eyes firmly focused on the wares. A scar running down the right side of his face, from the forehead, over his eye, to the cheekbone and vanishing beneath he scarf he had wrapped around the lower half of his face. Though it didn't diminish the mysterious type of good looks he had. If anything it enhanced them. Beneath the cloak Guy had seen from behind he was wearing a rather tight, outfit. At least what Guy could see. Dark pants, clinging to his legs and some belts, holding various pouches in place. Standard adventurer garb, from what he knew.
Guy put on his best smile, as the man turned his head, to look at him. Only mustering once him before turning back to the stones he held in his hand. He seemed to contemplate a little bit longer, before putting one back and putting the other in his bag. Taking out enough coins to pay it. He walked away without taking the change he definitely would have gotten.
"Always a pleasure!" the shop keep called after him.
Guy looked at the stone he hadn't taken, as he heard the shop keep let out a nervous sigh. As he looked up the man was still looking after the adventurer. So it was him the shop keep had been nervous about.
Guy looked to the stones. Even he could tell all of them were incredibly high quality. So the man should have nothing to worry about, right?
"Tough customer?" Guy asked.
He'd definitely stoop as low, as to engage in small talk, just to figure out more about this adventurer. He did follow his energy through the masses though. Just to not lose him.
The shop keep looked at him, a strained smile on his face.
"Lir? Nah, I mean, not really. He's just a bit…intense, I guess. Never speaks, but always takes incredibly high grade materials and stuff. Some even whisper that he's secretly working for King Leon, to make sure the wares in the market are the real deal, and no fakes," he explain.
Guy had halfway tuned him out after the first word. He had heard that name before after all. Though the rest of it was rather informative as well. Had that been why Claude had been so secretive about this man. He wasn't a simple adventurer, but reported right back to Leon?
That could be. That would also explain why he was able to hide his power so effectively. Yet that wouldn't explain why Guy wasn't allowed to know about it. He had met every single one of Leon's direct subordinates in the past after all. So why not this one?
Guy thanked the shop keep and went on to follow this 'Lir'. Still wondering where exactly he had heard that name before. He just knew he had heard it before. But it wouldn't come to him where. It was annoying him incredibly much. 'Lir''s next stop was at a stall selling sweets. Where Guy got to know, that he always, without fail, bought them for the children from the orphanage. Though the mass too big this time. Stumping the elderly lady selling the sweets.
His seemingly last stop was a stage. Surrounded by the lights, making it the perfect place in the market. Creating a serene and calm atmosphere. In front some people were walking, some standing. 'Lir' stood still close to a table, watching the stage. Or rather the kids, standing on the stage and singing. Right, Guy had heard that before. He had tuned it out though. They weren't even good after all. Though as he watched 'Lir', his expression softened, as he watched the kids, Guy did remember. He had seen the name on a gravestone. The one in the inner most garden of the castle. When he had asked Leon, he had just answered that 'Lir' had been a friend. Guy always knew not to pry any more.
But that name was anything but common. Though another possibility, checking all the boxes, crossed Guy's mind. Not many people saw him and just didn't react after all. Leon hadn't all those years back then. Having been thoroughly unimpressed by Guy. And now this man. Being rumoured to be a subordinate of him. While Leon was nowhere to be found, and Claude had been rather secretive about why.
Guy's smile formed into a grin as he approached the man again. Coming to a halt next to him, pretending to be listening to the kids as well. He had to say, if it hadn't been for that, he wouldn't have known. Most likely at least.
"Leave if you won't listen. It's disrespectful for the children," 'Lir' said.
Guy chuckled. His voice was a little bit on the lighter side, than Leon's. Though with magic as strong as that of Leon many things could be made possible. Especially changing something simple as an appearance or a voice.
But Guy knew that Leon cared so very much about all the citizens of his country. And especially the children. He just hadn't thought that he never went to see them outright. But rather disguised.
"Why are they singing? And always songs with the same theme," Guy asked.
'Lir' sighed and shook his head, his eyes not leaving the children on the stage. Gloved hands clasped together, appearing to want to keep out the cold. They were essentially singing the same themes over and over again. Praising Leon, or having invented some kind of romantic story. Guy had to say, he started to like it.
He turned his gaze to Guy again. Guy grinned at him, as he let out another drawn out sigh. Now that Guy was actually paying attention to it, he could hear the music from everywhere on the market. It did make for a great atmosphere.
"They are called 'carols'. Christmas carols to be exact. The children are singing them, to practice gratitude, so I've been told," he explained.
Guy nodded and scooted closer to him. He liked the more romantic ones best. He did wonder which ones Leon liked the best. Though Guy was more than sure that he wouldn't find out about it anytime soon.
Guy looked back to the children. Objectively speaking, they weren't good. At all. Though they did put in the effort. And that must be what seemed to be so endearing to Leon-…'Lir'. He always had possessed this soft heart, even when he wanted other to think he was cold as ice.
"I think I like it," Guy said.
'Lir' huffed and shrugged his shoulders. He stole some glances here and there at Guy, but didn't say anything else. Just kept his silence, and listened to the carols. Pretty much all of them were child friendly though. Guy wondered who had thought of the texts. He definitely had not heard of something like this on the main continent.
Though that surely was the result of this coming from another world. Which was relatively common in El Dorado, seeing as most of the higher ups, as well as the king, came from this other world. Both of them did raise their eyebrows when one a little bit more explicit came up. Guy grinned while 'Lir' just stared. His disguise momentarily slipping. It was only a split second, but Guy did spot familiar blue eyes and familiar blond hair. As well as a familiar, very pretty face.
"I think I like this one the most," Guy whispered.
Leon glared at him, before he turned away. So this really was what was going on. Leon going around his own kingdom in disguise, so to not attract too much attention. And obviously his higher ranking knights knew about this. Having vowed not to tell anyone. Not even Guy.
Leon pushed himself away from the table and approached a young woman, standing close to the stage. He had his scarf pulled up high again, making him look somewhat dubious. She did seem to recognize him though, and readily accepted the pouches with the sweets he had earlier bought. Afterwards, he approached Guy again and pulled him away with him. Off to a little alleyway, away from the attention. Though thanks to the lights having been hung up everywhere, still as bright. The song still ringing in the distance. Other's starting to play it from magic devices as well. A song talking about a king blessing a demon for this holy occasion. Their king blessing a demon.
"What are you even doing here?! Can you go about this the normal way for once and announce yourself?" Leon hissed at him.
Leon was facing him again, though not dropping his disguise. He had pulled the scarf down somewhat though, causing Guy to see the full extent of his changed face. Still as pretty as Guy liked it. Even if the scar gave him somewhat of a rugged appearance. Leon had probably thought it would make him look unattractive of something, so he wouldn't draw attention to himself.
"Could you answer me, Lord Guy?" Leon said.
Guy chuckled at the way he almost hissed the 'Lord' at him, just so he could keep up pretences. He liked it. It was different. And maybe Guy could even get away with being even more forward. After all they weren't amongst others anymore. Even if the sounds from the market carried to them. Guy cornered Leon against the wall of a house, smirking at him.
"But it's much more fun like this~" he purred.
Leon flinched and looked around. He let out a quiet string of curses, so unlike him, as he noticed what kind of situation he had brought himself into.
"Maybe you can…convince me to not tell Leon about this," Guy said.
If Leon wanted to keep this game up, Guy would play along. He didn't mind to do so actually. It was fun after all. And he would like to know how far Leon would be willing to take this game, before he fessed up.
Leon let out a long sigh and shook his head. He looked around, as Guy decided to throw caution to the wind and press his lips against Leon's. As soft as he knew they were. Leon did stiffen, but he did not push him away like Guy had anticipated. He hesitated for a moment, before he retaliated by wrapping his arms around Guy's neck, as he closed his eyes.
Guy didn't hesitate to attack Leon's neck next, using his hand to push that bothersome fabric of the cloak and scarf out of the way. It was annoying him. But because it was Leon he would make sure to be careful and not rip the outfit to shreds.
"How…ha…how do you think…Lord Leon would react…if he knew…" Leon breathed out.
He did not make one move to get away from Guy. Rather he pulled him closer, contrary to what he was saying. This was enough confirmation that Guy needed to not give up pursuing Leon anytime soon. Though maybe next time he would let him come closer, while he wasn't wearing a disguise.
Guy grinned as he thought back to the song. The Christmas Carol, as Leon had called it. If he paid any mind to it, he could still hear it in the air. Though right now the sight in front of him was more alluring. Leon letting him roam his hands so freely as well.
"Maybe he'll…'bless' me, for this holy occasion. Let's see, when I'll tell him," Guy breathed.
Leon stiffened at that, before he let out a shaky breath. Still not pushing Guy away. Still giving into his advances.
Oh yes, Guy had decided he liked this festivity very much, and even more the songs being sang during it.

He cried to Clockwork as the only neutral Ghost he knew. Clockwork gave him shelter, knowledge and support. Eventually, Danny trusted him with everything.
Clockwork would send him on missions. Danny would go without a word. The Master of Time made them simple and innocent at first. But they soon morphed into chaos brining horror.
Clockwork, trapped by Observants, couldn't indulge in the Chaos his soul craved. But now he had someone to do his bidding. He left the main world (DP) alone. That needed to be stable. But others... they became his playground. And Danny was his hands.
Danny knew. He no longer cared. He found it fun! His Obsession morphed to protecting other Ghosts and his Mentor. Others could burn for all he cared if that brought satisfaction to him and those he was close to.
------
So, from here I imagine Vlad, 10 years after the PP happened, coming back to Earth. He escaped the aliens who held him prisoner (Butch wanted him to be captured. Let's let it happen this time). He went to the Ghost Zone. Wanted to see what happened around.
Then he met Danny who was a willing and happy puppet of the Twisted Time Lord.
This can be dcxdp crossover. Why not? Can the JL and others save Danny? Would he need their saving?
PIZZAPIGEON: Its a chat me and my brothers use....who are you?

BattleNexusChampion: same dee.
Bootyyyshaker9000: Dee? That's my nickname.
#1Genius: What? no, its mine. My name is Donatello.
Bootyyyshaker9000: That's...my name??
Artturtle: wait what-
Glowyboi: who ar u?????
Artturtle: who r you??? :0
Kiwibrib has entered the chat
Kiwibirb: who are these people??
Bootyyyshaker9000: I have no idea.
Neon-Leon: i tink thy r othwer peipl
Michelangelo: Alright. I think that what is occurring is me and my siblings are an alternate version of you and your siblings.
PIZZAPIGEON: How does that even happen??
Michelangelo: That is a great question. One I can sadly not answer.
Glowyboi: y r u so formal?? if ur me than u should b chiller
Michelangelo: That was simply how I was raised.
Best_Bro: oof- yeah.
#1Genius: Indeedums.
Bootyyyshaker9000: It's weird seeing someone be as formal as I am.
Michelangelo: Is it a bad thing?
Bootyyyshaker9000: No, it's just not normal for me.
Michelangelo: I see.
Artturtle: ANYWAYSSSSS Sooooo how are you guys? :3
PIZZAPIGEON: Actually can I ask who you are? I dont think i know you.
Artturtle: Reni? your sister?
Neon-Leon: nope
BattleNexusChampion: no? do you guys not have reni in ur universe or somethin?
Kiwibirb: No sry.
Artturtle: AWW!! Why dont u guys have me in your universe i wonder? :(
Bootyyyshaker9000: Good question...maybe...well, what happened to all of you? The alternate version of my siblings I mean.
Artturtle: nothing lol
Best_Bro: Same.
BattleNexusChampion: i was in the battle nexus idk what else to sy
#1Genius: Same here.
Michelangelo: I do not wish to tell you.
Glowyboi: y?
Michelangelo: It is not necessary for you to know.
Kiwibirb: Judging by how you talk im gonna say you were raised by draxum. hes pretty formal.
Michelangelo: That is correct.
PIZZAPIGEON: Well that doesnt sound too bad.
Artturtle: if you guys couldve seen how badly mikey flinched at that you wouldnt think that.
Neon-Leon: wiat wut-
Best_Bro: he didnt have the...best time with Draxum ill put it that way.
#1Genius: Ah yes. Abuse.
Kiwibirb: WHAT
Michelangelo: Why would you say it like that...
#1Genius: Well no one else was going to say it. At least I didnt elaborate on it.
Neon-Leon: i tink ita prety obcipus
Bootyyyshaker9000: How did you even type it that bad...
Neon-Leon: shush
Bootyyyshaker9000: I do agree with Nardo though. You were abused by Draxum correct other Mikey?
Michelangelo: yes
Artturtle: oof- sorry we made you uncomfortable Mikey :(
Michelangelo: What do you mean?
Artturtle: I noticed that when u get uncomfortable you stop being so formal. In real life and over text
Michelangelo: I did not know you knew me so well.
Artturtle: course I do! <3
Bootyyyshaker9000: This is very interesting. Still do not know why you were all brought here though. Or how for that matter.
BattleNexusChampion: what were you gonna do about knowing what happened to us??
Bootyyyshaker9000: Ah, right. You all are from a alternate universe that is much MUCH different than our universe. Hence why it would make more sense for Reni to be there.
Neon-Leon: huh?????\
#1Genius: He's basically saying that since we are (apparently) very different from your universe, since we are alternate versions of you all remember, and that we all went through different things, it makes sense that the universe basically gave us a sister because we were so different from you already.
Neon-Leon: o
PIZZAPIGEON: Okay so- are you alright other Mikey? I had to leave to take care of something really quick and saw that you were apparently abused by Draxum? You okay bud?
Michelangelo: As okay as being abused by a warring warrior scientist who wasn't even your father after you believed he was for your entire life can be.
Glowyboi: oh no
#1Genius: Well, I enjoyed talking with all of you, but Reni is currently glaring at me in my room to make me go to bed so I will do that to appease her.
Artturtle: thank you Dee dee!!!!!!!
#1Genius: Of course little sister.
Artturtle: <3
Michelangelo: I suppose I shall get off as well.
Best_Bro: Guess I will too lol
BattleNexusChampion: good idea lol
Bootyyyshaker9000: Alright. See you all later then?
Wednesday finds her efforts to escape Nevermore consantly frustrated by everything from annoying people to her own proclivities.
It is vexing, but at least nothing more serious is going on that might lure her into staying long term; even if she is finding some tolerable people.
Concept:
Very much a "Crack with Heart" sort of story, Wednesday's efforts to escape Nevermore keep being frustrated by one thing or another. However, because of these events the shifts inadvertently avoid certain tragedies/murders happening, or at least happening when they do. So she is mostly having a 'normal' school experience, interrupted by escape attempts and other nonsense.
I imagine it starts with Xavier revealing why he hates Tyler. IE the hate crime. Wednesday is offended as an outcast and not impressed by Tyler's simpering about it. So she takes off.
Specifically to hunt down Enid to ask why the girl did not tell her this.
Enid: I mean I did try to hint at it!
Wednesday: But why not just say it?
Enid: Because I thought it might make things worse rather than better.
Wednesday: How?
Enid: Well I figured you could choose not to leave, but that you'd more likely go and instantly pick a fight with him, or maybe break your wrists so if he tried to kill you it would be a 'fair fight'.
Wednesday:... He is not exactly an impressive specimen, so I suppose that would even the odds.
Enid: See this, this is exactly what I am talking about.
Wednesday: I suppose that is fair enough.
Enid: Thanks, say seeing as your ride is off the table, wanna hook up with me, Yoko & Divina for a girls night? (Sends a glare at Tyler & Xavier.)
Wednesday (Also glares at them) I suppose I shall.
Yoko: Another win for the gays!
Wednesday is petty however and forces Weems to carry all their stuff while they go on rides. Seeing as she is going to hover like a vulture she might as well be helpful no ;)
Beyond that I am less sure, but that is the general gist.
Wednesday keeps finding excuses to stay at Nevermore, actually makes friends inadvertently puts off murders and such.
& may well, entirely by accident or for less plot heavy reasons, fuck over Thornhills's plans.
For instance she may break the blood seal on Crackstone and stab his corpse for revenge post Outreach Day and as a bonding activity. Thornhill has no idea this happens until its too late.
Also lots of fun little world building things and character/relationship building stuff. Generally pretty light in tone barring the social commentary and such.
