They definitely switch. Nesta likes to top because it solidifies this idea of trust between them; that he actually thinks her to be capable and not always out to do the worst/hurt other people. Eris likes to bottom because he’s actively choosing to give up control in a safe and controlled environment with a person he trusts (a freedom he has never really gotten before).

Nesta likes to bottom because she wants to be taken care of and treated gently without having to give anything in return for affection. Eris likes topping her because, for one, it shows how much trust she chooses to place in him and he gets to experience having power over someone without it having any negative connotation whatsoever.

💒 What kind of marriage ceremony would they prefer? What kind do they get?

I believe Eris would prefer something more private and personal whereas Nesta would want something a little more public.

He automatically connects public affairs with his father and lots of pressure; he has to perform and he has to perform now and he can never ever let his guard down.

Nesta wants to be loved openly without having to feel as though her partner is ashamed of her.

In the end they do get a pretty public ceremony due to his station and everything but later in the evening when all the court-y stuff is finished they move to a more secluded room or space with close friend and family to have a little bit of a more private end to their special day.

Nesta pretends to dislike them, referring to them as beasts or saying they smell, but she loves them and they love her. They’re cautious of her at first, because so is their master to be honest. But once they realise that oh…master loves this female…hmm okay we must protect her at all times. They follow her around and are always on guard.

Eris simultaneously loves this and is also jealous. The hounds have never been fussed about anyone else before, and certainly not guarded without being told to. They’ve also never obeyed anyone else before and he didn’t tell them to do that, which irrationally annoys him a bit because he does genuinely love that they love her as much as he does.

Most probably it was from need. If it's an arranged marriage scenario, I can see it happening at the wedding or their first night. If it's them having to work together, I think initiator would be Nesta in an attempt to make him shut up. And some historians say it continued with the hottest sex but we won't know.

I think they'd constantly lie about their emotions until they become serious. Both were raised with the idea "emotions are weaknesses" so... Oh, and they will threat someone to protect the other, but will keep this to themselves.
