AI bros are those kids from your elementary school that were just absolute spoiled rotten imbeciles. They never did their work, were always cutting up in class, general nuisances.
When projects and papers would get assigned, they would forget until the last minute and get mommy and daddy to do all the work for them the night before. They walk into class the next day with a suspiciously high quality poster board when compared to their other academic work, and when they start reading off of their notecards you immediately know none of what is written came from their mind. And yet they are awarded an A for their supposed hard work.
And these lazy spoiled children grew up into lazy spoiled adults that use generative AI for everything. From art, writing, recipes, questions, you name it, they are dependent on AI. It is only the natural evolution that they would continue to use other people's work. They're crying and bitching and moaning now, because no one wants to hire someone that is entirely reliant on a machine to generate ideas for them. They claim ostracization because artists, writers and people that actually perform labor are rightfully mad that their hard work is being fed into data sets without their consent.
"It's the future!" they say. It's the future for people like them, those who are unwilling to learn a craft or to sit with their thoughts and be creative. It's the future for those who want to eat the crops without ever participating in the sowing. The AI bro issue is really just a microcosm of capitalism--a group of privileged assclowns that believe they are entitled to all products of labor that workers produce.
There's a connection between the studios pretending they can't properly pay show writers AND companies pretending they can't find anyone to hire AND empty storefronts pretending they can't find anyone to lease to. The studios can pay. The companies can hire. The places can lease. They are CHOOSING not to. I hope the WGA strike breaks the fuck out of the studios and the studio execs are crying in their gold plated cereal bowls. Respect the picket line and don't be a scab. WGA hasn't called for a boycott, so streaming whatever shows is fine, for now. (This blog is pro union and pro labor. The only union that's trash is any cop union, obvs.)
I am not going to share Drew Barrymore’s non-apology, because it’s not something she should get attention and accolades and pats on the back for. I am going to say this about it:
Apologies do not work when you continue to do the thing you are apologizing for.

President Joe Biden
I want to thank the workers, carriers, and port operators for acting patriotically to reopen our ports and ensure the availability of critical supplies for Hurricane Helene recovery. Today, our ports are open, dockworkers have secured record wages, and supplies can keep moving.

Power of the People: Working to Fulfill Democracy's Promise
Who We Are
Power of the People is a coalition of anti-corruption humanitarians that seeks to fulfill Democracy’s promise of “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness” and demands basic human rights for all through establishing an Economic Bill of Rights. We seek a nation free of corporate and governmental corruption that ceases to infringe on the inalienable rights of its people. We call ourselves by different names: democratic socialists, progressives, New Deal Democrats, leftists, etc. Either way, we all believe in a better future and a politics of love that answers to the demands of the American people.
What We Believe In
The Right to a Living Wage
The Right to a Union
The Right to Healthcare through an expanded and improved Medicare for All
The Right to Universal Quality Education from Preschool to College
The Right to Good, Affordable Housing
The Right to a Clean and Healthy Planet through a Green New Deal
The Right to an Endowment of Resources at Birth and a Healthy Childhood
The Right to Sound Banking and Financial Services
The Right to an Equitable and Fair Justice System for All People
The Right to Democracy and Peace Here and Abroad
Where We Started
The founding members of Power of the People were volunteers for the Marianne Williamson 2024 Presidential Campaign. Marianne Williamson was a social worker and humanitarian who challenged Joe Biden for the Democratic Party's nomination in 2024. Among other things, she ran with the intent to institute a 21st Century Bill of Rights. For these beliefs, Marianne was consistently slandered and discredited by the corporatised mainstream media and the Democratic establishment. Eventually, the media blackout became so choking that she chose to suspend her campaign.
We loved Marianne Williamson, but we had one primary disagreement with her: her decision to suspend her campaign. Even if she had little chance of winning, her message was important nonetheless. We are here to continue her message at the local, state, and federal level, with or without an official campaign. We hope to bend the arc of history to justice with the power of solidarity & love.
Stay tuned for more! In the meantime, read what we agree with at Marianne2024.com/issues, promote Marianne's message at Wethepeople2024.me, and contact our media lead @veganvarian
