Dare I say gatekeeping sexualities is actually extremely harmful to the queer community much more so than people say they contradictory label community does.
On MULTIPLE occasions I have seen girls having genuine mental breakdowns because theyโve identified as a lesbian for basically their whole life but one day they found a man attractive and, therefore, believed they wouldnโt be accepted as a lesbian. They were scared the community they were apart of for so long was going to turn its back on them and they werenโt allowed to live the lifestyle (yes, being a lesbian is considered a lifestyle by many) they were so comfortable with.
There were a couple people in the comments who were apart of the lesbian community as well and assured them that the community would not turn its back on them and they supported them and they could still identify with lesbianism if they wanted to. Sadly, these comments were met a lot of backlash saying something along the lines of;
โSheโs attracted to men. At the most sheโd be bisexualโ (this is also biphobic; implying one for of queer is โmore queerโ than another.)
Or say, โlesbians arenโt attracted to men- hope this helps!โ
These people are giving off the same vibes as people who support the โGold Star Lesbianโ term- that queer girls and fems- hell even nonbinary people who donโt even identify femininely- who have been attracted to men or have had sex with men are โless goodโ or โless pureโ than individuals who havenโt.
Iโd just like to let you know- if you are a lesbian who has ever been attracted to men; we love you. You will always be accepted in our community.

Iโm hesitant to post this flag , but it feels necessary. I just want to say this one thing , this isnโt mean to replace the Emily Gwenโs flag. I just wanted to make a flag that is comfortable for myself , and is more inclusive to everyone within good faith!! As a system , who is predominantly one of lesbians , sapphics and biromantic/bisexuals leaning towards women , it gets really confusing with our attraction , and I still struggle with it. As Iโve learned more about myself , through the ups and downs , it gets overwhelming doing it all myself without outsider help or support. It becomes very difficult , and even demoralizing handling things myself. Thereโs more Iโd like to say , but Iโll stop it here for now.
I have trouble putting colors into meaning , but I want to say that this flag is about queerness and acceptance , regardless of your attraction and such. And Iโd prefer if you use afab , amab , nmlnm , nwlnw terminology to not use this flag. Besides that , use this flag if you use contradictory labels that are used in a non - harmful way!!๏ฟผ
I did want to make a symbol of a louts and a crescent moon , but I never figured out how to. As lotusโ symbolizes purity , resilience , and spiritual rebirth. And the crescent moon can mean femininity , but for myself it means life cycles and transformation , not specifically on femininity by itself. And the word Cosmic is just an identifier for the flag , but when I imagine the word โCosmicโ I see these colors!!
