For Sanura to be stuck on assignments was quite rare, she wasn't sure if she had totally pissed off one of her professors or if they had just wanted to give her more of a challenge when it came to her assignment. The long list of formulas and definitions paired with the body aches and headache blooming was starting to make her head spin.

She tapped her manicured nails against the keyboard of her laptop before once again erasing the paper she had been attempting to write for Creator knows how long. She sighed, pulling off her reading glasses and rubbing her hands over her face. She jumped when she heard the voice speak up from next to her.

"Oh! Hi, Night.~" She mused with a sweet smile, even her bubbly tone couldn't hide the way the dark circles under her eyes stood out against her otherwise flawless skin. "Three hours?...feels like ten minutes with how little progress I've made..." She murmured gaze glancing back to the screen of her laptop, then back to Night, her gaze bounced back and forth between the two before she realized that he might actually be able to help.

They’d taken a quick flight to Nivis, landing at one of the main airports before boarding a train to Astrum.

“Wow, you were right about the taking one of the slower trains.” Looking out of the window as the train chugged along. It was much different than Apricus. Everything was snow covered, even if it was currently a thin layer. They’d gotten here before winter hit, Gavrill claimed it was the best time to visit. 

Occasionally they’d bypass a small town but for the most part the everything seemed to just forests, and views of mountains in the distance.

“Personally I’m just glad to be on vacation. After that checkmate shit and a few months worth of cleanup I’m done working for a while.”

“Look.” Pointing up ahead “You can see Astrum now, very old city. Much older than Apricus.”

“Just as beautiful as the last time.” Even though it’d been several years she’d never quite gotten over how gorgeous Astrum was. It would be even better at night, best place in the entire world to see the lights.

Cal sat in his wheelchair watching a dingy street with Sol at his side. He had the boy pushing the chair for now, telling him to try and not look to recognizable. “I trust I don’t have to tell you why I’m doing this.” He did so anyway, “Bounty hunting isn’t always about rushing in and saving the day with bravado and weapons. You have to be smart, too. What do you know about gathering intel?”

It was pretty rare that Lily got down to Smokey Gardens at all. She never really had a reason to be there unless she was pursuing a bounty, but this was definitely not one of those times. She couldn’t say she was thrilled with the idea of going on a blind date, and she was definitely not happy that she was signed up without her knowledge, but hey, maybe things would work out.

And so it was that she arrived at the farm with an open mind and relatively pleasant demeanor. Horse riding also wasn’t her first choice, but it was also something she’d had a mind to try for some time now, so at least she could cross that off her list of things to do now that she had money. Before they got to the riding however, formalities had to be exchanged.

This city, like any other, changed after the sun went down. Fumiko wasn’t shy to the danger, though that didn’t allow her to drop her guard as she strolled the darkened streets. As an individual who stood out quite notably, not just from her physicality, but also her dress, she knew that people were sure to be watching her.

She kept a cautious hand on her sword, and her eye darted all around just to be certain no one was watching a little too carefully. A quick turn of the corner brought her face to face with a young man. Her first instinct was to draw, but she forced herself to suppress it, though her hand visibly twitched as if she were going to.

There was an odd mix of adrenaline and haze inside her, upon first awakening. The look in her magenta eyes was animalistic; it appeared as if her fight or flight had activated despite her not completely having her bearings.
