🎪 ɪᴛ ꜰᴇʟᴛ ꜱᴛʀᴀɴɢᴇ ʙᴜɪʟᴅɪɴɢ ᴀ ꜱɴᴏᴡᴍᴀɴ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴍɪᴅᴅʟᴇ ᴏꜰ summer, but it made sense that the twilight tundra would have snow year-round.
when she was a kid, pomni had loved building snowmen. every time school was canceled because snow, it became an unspoken tradition. as she got older, though, that tradition slowly disappeared. whether she simply grew out of it or was expected to, she wasn't entirely sure. her parents were just a bit overbearing, maybe they just loved her a little too much.
she'd been raised to focus on academics, then a career-- to chase stability and success... all the things adults were supposed to want. somewhere along the way, she never really got the chance to just be a kid.
watching the NPCs and the other festivalgoers laugh and play in the snow tugged at something deep inside her, a quiet nostalgia she'd almost forgotten. there was no one here to tell her she was too old for it. no one watching, no one insisting she grow up.
before she even realized what she was doing, pomni knelt down in the snow, ignoring the cold bite against her exposed knees. she scooped up a handful of powder and began rolling it into a ball, slowly packing together the base.
fuck it. let's build a snowman.
