I was introduced to Disney World when I was two. I went with my parents and older brother to stay at my grandparents’ Florida house (we’re all from Maine). Most of my memories from the first trip are in pictures. We went again when I was seven and I have not been back since.
Growing up, I was never all that confident. I was just different, but no one my age saw that as a good thing. Every snide remark tore me down, but I never wanted anyone to see that I was hurting. I just wanted to be happy.
My happiness came from my family, music, dancing, and Disney. I have the most loving family in the world. I am so close to them. Unfortunately, both of my grandparents have passed, but they inspired my love of Disney. I feel connected with them when I cosplay. I dress up as different characters - mainly princesses and attend birthdays and other events. I watch makeup tutorials on Youtube, watch movies to really get to know the characters, and dress to the nines in my costumes. At the events, I sing, dance, tell stories, face paint, and sometimes make balloon animals. I love being a princess and making kids feel special. It warms my heart.
Currently, I reside in New Hampshire, but visit my Maine home as often as I can. I live with my boyfriend who is truly my prince charming. He lights me up, and has swept me off my feet. I’m in love with my best friend. He is the Kristoff to my Anna :) And yes, I’ve made him dress up too!
When I’m not being a princess, I am a library and tech assistant at an elementary school. I also help with their musicals. I’m a pianist, a writer, guitar player, and iced coffee enthusiast. I’m still trying to figure out my dream career path (other than the obvious) but I know I will have a happy ever after.
Much love to anyone who read through this.
