Come Out, Squirtle - but make it ๐cake๐
We turned a funfetti cake into this iconic scene from the official 1999 Pokemon book! The details are all orange-flavoured buttercream frosting, and we made Squirtle, Poliwhirl and Charmander using icing transfers.
This is part of my ๐ณ๏ธโ๐Pride Pokemon desserts series I do every Pride Month, and it's possibly one of my favourites! (Peep a few in the last pic!) I love combining my passions for Pokemon and baking, and it's been so special incorporating what I love and parts of my identity. That I can maybe help others who are often sidelined, to also feel seen, is truly the icing on the cake.
I want to be part of a world where everyone feels welcome and safe to come out when and how they choose. Right now, the most vulnerable people are once again being scapegoated, and attacks on our rights will continue to ramp up. But our love will outlive hate, and no amount of legislation will ever make us disappear. Fight on, until the day it's safe for us all to be out and proud. ๐ช
I have an unhealthy yearning to hug these two Angel wouldve been 31 by now but I headcanon the game being set in 2007-2008 when they're in their early 20s. As for Lee idk i headcanon him as either an older millennial or a younger gen x that counts as a millennial.
I had my yearly perspective- and development meeting with my line-manager at the office.
We went through my filled-out HR bullshit-bingo buzzword template-document.
Goals for 2026 in the category of personal growth/development:
- Sleep longer than 6am on Weekends
- Sleep more than 6 hours average on any given Weekday
- Avoid any involvement with the CEO's main strategy towards AI
- Free cake during pride
For some reason this was not accepted as valid suggestions from my side...
