As a follow-up to the great fanart that @rimhyokang​ made off of the Karmiro/Raveast post that came from my weird little mind, I remembered something even better in regards to Teen Titans and Big Hero 6.

I present to you...

“Date With Destiny”.

Now, some of you may not be old enough to be an original TT viewer, but if you do, it was one of the early quintessential episodes for Robin and Starfire.  What “The Beast Within” did for BB and Raven, “Date with Destiny” was for these two.

Mostly because of this.

For the uninitiated, Robin is basically blackmailed into attending prom with Kitten, the daughter of Killer Moth.  Starfire...doesn’t take this particularly well, because she sees her as a “ clorbag varblernelk” (not mentioned in this episode, but Star calls BB this in “Forces of Nature” and it’s probably bad in Tamaranean).  Robin goes to prom while the others track down Killer Moth, Star comes back to the boat and...she looks like this.

Now, there’s other shenanigans happening in here, like Star seething over Kitten:

And then Kitten’s real boyfriend shows up:

Yes, that is a person with a spider for a head.  No, I’m not going to elaborate.

The heroes end up saving the day, and Robin and Starfire even get to share a nice moment with each other:

Which is a luxury, I will admit, was not shared with everyone’s favorite Genius Boy and Lab Lady.

You know, I’m still mad that Hiro and Karmi never got any sort of date/dance/whatever teens do these days in the show.

Hmm.  I guess they got a Prey Date.  Not much else, though.

Although if Karmi were to ever go somewhere with Hiro and someone ends up trying to flirt with her man, well...

Does someone want to tell Wasabi that he’s an internet sensation now too like Mochi? ;) XD

but can we talk about this now?

I mean, I know it's a phone theme or something but - foreshadowing maybe? I mean I lost it way back when I saw it for the first time.
