Lady Azurite
Azurite is a deep blue mineral formed from weathered copper, and is often a byproduct of copper mining today. While it tends to loose color fairly easily when exposed to the elements, it was also used as a pigment and dye in the past.
This little book tells of the journey of an “azurite queen” from a copper mine, to adorning the outside of a miners house, to a mineralogists collection, to finally coming to rest in this book!
Pages have a hole in the center to showcase the piece of stone set on the back cover.
