Here’s the FINAL for the @dirtyheads #gigposter I was commissioned to do. Really stoked on how great of a job @VGKids did! I’m sure they were surprised I didn’t turn in a bunch of skulls as per my regular collaborations are with them. Nonetheless they knocked it out of the park. Yes yes…they’re printing is awesome but so is there customer support. Any time I have questions or crazy requests they are there to make sure it happens. Except for time travel. They have yet to perfect that. . This is the 2nd of two posters I’ve designed for them so far. Even though #DIRTYHEADS aren't really big they have a devoted audience. They also have a great eye for art. I'm not talking about just my work. ALL of the artists that do posters or album art for them - try to do their best work. The band/management respect artists and in return the artists respect them. It's pretty cool. I'm stoked because when I get work with them I can push myself in a different direction that isn't all dark and full of skulls. Subjects I love so much. For the two posters I wanted to create images that their audience could connect with. To me their music reminds me of when I lived in Los Angeles. I had a great time exhibiting at @fivepointsfest this past weekend and hope they’ll invite me back. It was so much fun catching up with old friends and making new ones too!
