While the park was nearby, Madoka was not headed there to play on the swings or go for a nice walk. She had been in the midst of hunting for witches, and thankfully had the common sense to hide her Soul Gem in its ring from when approaching Usagi.

When she said "I have never seen you before," what Madoka meant was "I haven't seen any magical girls like you around here." Her Soul Gem had picked up the incredibly strong magic coming from the blonde, but it wasn't at all like the magic of those contracted by Kyubey.

"Wh-what?" Sakura hues widen, hands quickly raising up to wave away the assumption. "N-no, my name is Kaname Madoka. I don't think we're related, miss—?"

From the brush, a familiar white creature emerges, hopping up like a cat onto Madoka's shoulders. She jumps a bit. Could Usagi see Kyubey?

"Oh, where do I even begin!" Izzy exclaimed, looking up at the older girl with eyes that glittered like the moon and stars over ocean waves.

He could see where this was going. What was it with people in this era and his ears?

When his ears were poked, they began twitching. He probably should have worn that bandana, but getting Kagome to her classes was more of a time crunch. He didn't even care all that much that his ears were out. If someone had a problem with it, they could tell him directly. Let them believe he's a cause-player. Maybe someday they'd tell him what cause he was playing for.

"Oi." His tone was flat. "What the hell are y'doing." It didn't come out as a question, but a statement. "Stop touching my damn ears." It was usually a nice sensation, but this felt awkward. He'd never seen her before. "Haven'tcha ever seen a pair of ears before?" Inuyasha completely ignored the fact that hanyō were probably extinct in this era, while taking a huge step backwards.

Brows furrowed, arms folding defensively against his own chest.

"How would you feel if I just walked up and started pokin' your ears?" It was irritating, admittedly, in a better way than it in his native era. At least here, it was curiosity over hatred. It didn't mean he was less self conscious, merely that he didn't need the same exact level of wariness as he ordinarily would have. "I'll show ya just how good it feels t'have your ears poked like that if y'want." Inuyasha's palm raised, a slow smirk overtaking his frown. A claw glinted in the sunlight.

"But I might not be as gentle."

Now she disguises the way she is checking the princess over for injuries, her sharp gaze partially masked under a hooded glance, years of practice guiding her to look for any sign of distress — blood, bruises, magical corruption. Rumi's spine remains straight and her jaw stiffly set, and it's only when she realize she is still holding the Princess' arm in her careful grasp that she lets go and takes a step back.

❝  ube  ice  cream?  ❞  the name sounds so foregin on link's tongue , and even though he just heard the fellow blond say it , he still wasn't sure if he was saying it correctly. and today  link  had  witnessed  the  flavor  of  ube  ( so many new experiences ):  had  learned  what  it  was  and  he  was  now  being  told  of  so  many  new  wonders  that  can  be  created  from  …  well  link  wasn't  even  sure  what  he  was  consuming  but  he  knew  it  was  delicious.  he  watches  her  like  one  might  watch  sunlight  ripple  across  water  — quiet  ,  intent  ,  a  little  undone  by  the  way  joy  makes  itself  so  easily  at  home  in  her.  the  colors  of  her  drink  catch  in  his  gaze  ,  violet  and  green  folding  into  one  another  like  some  soft-spoken  magic  that  reminds  link  so  much  of  the  perfect  merging  of  the  sea  and  land.  there  is  a  faint  tilt  of  his  head  —  a  question  without  words  ,  as  the  straw  spins  and  the  ice  swirls  creating  like  a  small  crystalline  song.

❝ mmmm ❞ he echoes — softer , like the sound has to travel a longer road to reach his voice. her delight brushes against him — bright , unguarded — and something in his chest answers before his thoughts can follow. a ghost of a smile touches his mouth , fleeting as wind through tall grass. ❝ will da flavo be stronga or milder? ❞ a pause , then quieter still , almost lost between heartbeats. ❝ …maybe we can share it? and i can gets ya ta try a milkshake from ordon milks. ❞

It had started off as an innocent meeting at a coffee shop, a meeting he had thought nothing of. And then they met again in a convenience store, then again at the same coffee shop. This trend continued, and while at first Blue had been stand offish... this woman had a knack for worming into people's affections it would seem. he had to admit, she was as bubbly as could be, and shined so damn bright that Blue was certain that he would dim her with the shadows that haunted him.

And yet she didn't seem to care. And here they were now, with her barging into his home claiming she had to check on him after he sounded weird in text, which naturally led to him admitting that he just wanted to be alone. Not that she got the hint... instead she spoke... and the words that were spoken?
