REPOST lisafieldingwbbm IG: “Ummm yeah…if you could tune into this story today, that would be great!” 😝
An iconic character actor and Rolling Meadows native is back in on stage in Chicago after 25 years, returning to the place where his career began. Gary Cole is best known for his role in Office Space, as Mike Brady in the Brady Bunch Movies, NCIS, Veep, Entourage, West Wing and countless characters on film and TV. Now he’s back at @steppenwolfthtr where his career began in 1984 when it was in a basement in Highland Park.
Coming up today, we sit down with the iconic actor and talk about his first apartment on Sheridan Road, his love for the Cubs (❤️) and tavern style pizza, his cult role as Bill Lumberg and we get into some deep cuts like his breakout role as real life convicted killer Jeffery McDonald in “Fatal Vision” and my favorite as Jack Killion aka The Nighthawk in “Midnight Caller”. He talked about working with Karl Malden and Andy Griffith as a rookie actor. I couldnt help but fan girl a bit as my love for true crime started with that movie about McDonald who is still alive in prison in Maryland. Cole stars in “Catch as Catch Can” at Steppenwolf through July 12th. Find out why this show is so unique and why he said he decided to take the challenging role.
