âI Think I Can Helpâ
Marinette stomped back to her car, grumbling the entire way. She had left the boot open, and that just made her grumble even more as she reached up to slam it shut with one hand. The other reached up to her forehead as she closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and held it for a moment. She pinched the space between her eyebrows, rubbing little circles into it as she released the breath. Without a second glance, she spun on her heel and stomped back over to the driverâs side.
Wordlessly, she slid into the seat, locked her fingers around the steering wheel in a death grip, and screamed â which was fine, really, because the doors and windows were closed and sheâd also thumped her head against the center of the wheel, sounding the horn loud and long enough to drown out the scream for any (potentially concerned) passersby.
âŚor should have, except the universe apparently frickinâ hated her today, because the next thing she knew someone was tapping on the window.
