My baby shower was actually on the 8th, but we’re gonna ignore that

Ahhhh yes 🥹🤍 officially 16 weeks today!! Baby has been moving around way more lately which still feels SO unreal every time 😭☕✨

I am laying in bed right now... as I usually do when I’m writing here except this time round, I have the company of the sweetest tiny human with me... a little being made out of love! Our little baby boy, Iman is already here. (But I’ll save that for another post!)

I’ll be writing about the week leading up to his birth day. I really want to remember these moments before I get busy with life... Anywas, after the last post and listening to the doctor saying that he might be out soon, I waited anxiously for any signs of labour. Days came and passed, I thought, it’s okay he’ll come out when he’s ready.

I walked a lot, trying to feel less like a laze. On Friday, I met Lee after lunch just to walk around the mall. That night, Aryn asked me out to have waffles and icecream at a nearby cafe. I had the sweetest suprise from my girlfriends, thanks to them for constantly showering me (and baby) with so much love. Albeit knowing something was brewing, I was still really happy we spent the evening together...

On Monday, we had our appointment. The doctor said I was (still) 2cm dilated but that baby would be out by Wednesday or Thursday (what.....!!!?!!!!!). I was asking Asyidiq if he think it’d be a scheduled birth or else how would the doctor know (and he got it right by the way! lol) So Asyidiq and I began nesting. It was only the two of us at home those few days. We (actually mostly him) cleaned, repacked the hospital bag... We spent our nights watching movies on Netflix and just chilling... On Tuesday, Asyidiq was at work. My parents came by.

On Wednesday, we had breakfast with Sya, Fawzy and Baby Dhia. We went for our appointment and my doctor said I was 3cm dilated. They checked baby’s heartbeat and for any contractions. Apparently I was already in early labour then. My waterbag broke, I went home to shower and we took our hospital bag. We were then off to the hospital! (I’ll save my birth and labour story for another time).

Since being on leave from work, my life has pretty much revolve around this love of a baby in my tum.

Honestly, lately I’ve been feeling abit anxious but I know He knows best! It really feels like he could be here...any day now. At this point, I’m already feeling like I can’t wait to just have him, to hold him and have him here with me... I am very thankful to have Asyidiq with me, helping me out with the littlest and of course, the big stuff.

We went for our 36.5 week scan yesterday and all’s great. I’m 2cm dilated and baby’s growing well at 3.2kg. I’m guessing he’ll be out next week. We’ll see! ♡

Thankful to my best friends for bringing me out to Artbox. Albeit just a short evening out, it was nice to do something I’ve always done, roaming around aimlessly at festivals.

Also, catch up dinners with my babes, love these, catching up no matter how busy we all are with our own separate lives.

We turn 36 weeks today. Our last visit to the doctor was great but scary! Doctor said we have a big baby, a little bigger than supposed weight. He also did a cervix check (cries... and more of these...lol!) and said it’s great I’m already ‘opened’ thus baby won’t stay full term. I would love a chubby baby but not a big baby for me to push out. I should have asked more but we’re seeing the doctor again in 2 days time (our visits are now weekly). Hope we’ll receive more news then.

It’s been a whole month since I last wrote. Since then, I’ve been sick, the bump has grown so much more, baby gave us a little scare which we ended up in the labour ward on a Saturday afternoon... and many more!

This week I decided to wash baby’s clothes and slowly pack my hospital bag...hopefully it’ll be ready by week 36. I’ve been receiving kind reminders to be prepared incase he comes early. It gets a bit overwhelming and nerve wrecking for me some days but heyyy, I am beyond excited to finally hold, smell, touch, kiss this little boy I’ve been growing for months.

Just look at the amount of clothes this boy has already! Half of it passed down/gifted from very kind friends and families, the other half is from this very excited mama. ☺️

I am hoping we can squeeze a little ‘pregnancy shoot’ in the next few weeks before I pop! All for the memories ✨

Til then, oh my!!! I hope I blog more or else I might just have him right next to me the next I write. Hehe, inshaallah.
