Pre-Crisis Jason Todd, you are an utterly incomprehensible child.
Your compulsive acrobatics are adorable. Your ability to imprint on Bruce and call him your new father within a month is impressive. Your cute child powers are so strong that Man-Bat tried to adopt you. Your ability to phrase things in the weirdest way possible is matched only by Pre-Crisis Dick Grayson, and even then, you have proven yourself his equal in that regard.
You’re insane, and I love that for you.
-Bruce to Jason (Detective Comics #557)
Hey, I’m mostly a pre-Crisis fan, but I gotta say…you are legit my favorite version of Clayface.
(Superman Volume 6 #37)
Inside me are two wolves:
One is adamant that Jason Todd does not need a love interest right now, as his character has enough that needs fixing before any love interest is brought into the mix.
The other knows that peak Jason Todd is a wife-guy (gender-neutral)
(yes I have been rereading his pre-crisis Robin run, RIP Rena, you’re a queen).

In a modern context, I hate the orphanage origin for Kara, but I like to think it broke Clark Kent’s heart that he couldn’t adopt Kara due to human social issues.
Like in the 1950s, a single man was not going to be able to adopt a kid, especially a girl, easily. (It’s similar to the reason Bruce didn’t officially adopt Dick Grayson for years.)
There is even an issue in an imaginary world where Lois and Clark are married and Clark instantly tells Lois they need to adopt Linda.
