Jazz and Prowl have had an on-again, off-again relationship for a long time. They care about each other but Prowl self-isolates and can be very combative (an asshole). He pushes Jazz away when he's feeling prickly because he knows Jazz could do better. 

Jazz knows Prowl has issues but is still a good mech. He just has to learn to let his anger and fear go. Sometimes Prowl's bad attitude just works and Jazz has to back away for a while.

When Prowl joins up with the Constructicons, Prowl fears the worst. He's practically a Decepticon now. He assumes Jazz won't want anything to do with him and he just tells himself it's for the best.

People already feared and hated him because he had to be cold to get the job done and he was very, very good at being cold. Why bother being anything else?

The Constructicons see right through it all, thanks to the gestalt link but also because they've been there, too. They can see everything he's done, sense everything he thinks, and feel everything he feels. They know why he does the things he does and they… accept it. They accept him completely. They admire him. Prowl doesn't know what to do with that kind of unconditional acceptance.

Jazz is pretty freaked out at first, too. Prowl thinks Jazz is disgusted by him, but he's really just concerned. He thinks the Constructicons are damaging Prowl's already fraught psyche.

Both are surprised when the Constructicons meet Prowl's explosive outbursts with unperturbed patience. They're very familiar with mental anguish and know the context for Prowl's actions. They encourage him to get help, allow him his space when he really needs it and push him to be open when he's bottling. He's kind of forced into being more healthy.

Jazz knows he could never have garnered that change on his own, so when he finally realizes how good they are for Prowl and how much they genuinely care, he relaxes. 

When Prowl starts to return the Constructicon's feelings, Jazz is happy for him but he decides to back off completely. He doesn't want to mess up Prowl's chance at another good relationship.

It's actually the Constructicons who approach him. They love Prowl, Prowl loves Jazz, and so they like Jazz. They're fine with Prowl having a relationship with Jazz, too.

He decides to give the unusual relationship a chance and finds that it works. It works well. Prowl is slowly returning to the reasonable mech he used to be, the Constructicons are helping him and working to rebuild Cybertron, and Jazz finally gets to relax. He'd thought he'd never have that with Prowl again and he's happy to have been wrong. The 'Cons are sweet, too.

There are some universal constants that Jazz and the Constructicons know to be true: Prowl is pretty. Prowl likes to be fragged. Prowl has the highest interface drive of any mech who ever lived.

In hindsight, Jazz realizes that Prowl could never have been satisfied with just one partner. The Constructicons, when they aren't interfacing with Prowl together, have had to tag out with each other on multiple occasions.

It's worth it because a fragged-out Prowl is the softest, friendliest Prowl you'll ever see (and a pent-up Prowl is a demon).

Jazz likes to interface, but he doesn't have the same insatiable drive that his Prowler does. That works out for him, though: he's always enjoyed the thought of sharing Prowl and seeing others pleasuring him- now, with the Constructicons, it's a reality.

Prowl loves it when Jazz commands him around, too, and his submissive excitement ricochets through the bond like wildfire. Those are fun nights.

As the 'head' of the bond, all of Prowl's experiences are felt particularly strongly by the 'Cons. The more they or Jazz drive Prowl crazy, the more they lose control themselves. 

Prowl makes one-on-one time for all his partners, both for just dates and spending time but also for intimacy. The other 'Cons always know when Prowl does things, but they do their best to respect his boundaries. Usually. He knows when they're having fun, too.

Mix and Crusher are brave enough to use it against him when he's at work. The punishing feelings they get and the glares they get are strong, but it's worth it when he breaks and begs for relief across the bond.
