I totally agree with you. I’m tired of people trashing Tracy because of her character. And trashing Hailey because she dated Adam before. I don’t see anyone calling Kim out as a badge bunny like Al did when she went from being engaged to Adam to sleeping with Sean. It’s infuriating the way people attack Tracy on the posts and it’s about a FICTIONAL character/relationship.

People seriously forget that Hailey and Adam are both consenting adults who agreed to be in a relationship in season 6 and that the entire unit has had multiple love interests since the beginning of the show. Why aren't people slut shaming Adam for having slept with Hailey in S6, then with Kim AND the bartender in S7, and then with Kim again in S8 but people are slut shaming Hailey for having DATED Adam in S6 and now Jay in S8? I get that Burzek has history and all, but if we are talking about changing partners, who is the one constantly changing romantic partners between Hailey and Adam? Hailey DATED Adam the entirety of S6 and now is DATING Jay S8 on. We are talking about serious relationships people - no hook ups unlike Adam who technically changed partners three times after Upzek - 1. From Hailey to Kim (which was a hook up) 2. From Kim to that bartender (which again was a hook up) 3. From that bartender to Kim again (which was a hook up once again) Again, I acknowledge that Burzek has history and that bartender was a rebound to deal with losing the baby but still... (Also I know this is an unpopular opinion but I do not find the S7 and on Burzek storyline healthy or romantic at all - all they've done is hook up in the heat of the moment then Kim shuts Adam down every time he wants to become a couple until another traumatic event hits and they start the will they won't they dance all over again. Plus they are NEVER on the same page. EVER. We are 8 seasons in. MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MINDS PEOPLE!) If people want to slut shame someone, it really shouldn't be Hailey who had two serious relationships since she set foot on this show while other characters have changed romantic partners way more frequently (and I'm not even counting the first four seasons)
The double standard is so infuriating. I hate that Hailey/ Tracy gets all the hate bc Tracy happened to join the cast around the same time as she who shall not be named leaving the show (even though Tracy being on the show had nothing to do with said person's departure since Tracy was brought in as a temp while Marina was on maternity leave) and now Upstead is canon.
Speaking of Upstead, I also hate that just bc we ship Upstead, we have to be so hesitant to mention the person I referred to earlier bc a certain fandom will hate on us more for even mentioning her. I love love love interacting with my own little bubble of Upstead besties but beyond that, there's so much hate in this fandom that it's seriously unhealthy and heartbreaking. I really don't understand why we all can't be realistic about how TV shows work, how characters have to move on when actors decide to leave, and how we should appreciate actors/ their characters for what they contributed to their shows while they were on them. Some people really need to learn how to be realistic about how TV shows work and how actors aren't their fictional characters. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion but disagreeing shouldn't equal hatred and being disrespectful of one another and creating a hostile fandom. We can do better.
