I wanted to get up and dance but I wasn't trying to make the intertribal circle look all ugly with my goofy underdressed self in it 😭 the traditional outfits and regalia!! 🤌🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 You could see how much love and effort went into making these dresses and costumes and headdresses like 😭😭😭 just beautiful. So much color, so much jingling! I bought some stuff, obviously. Gotta put your money where your mouth is when it comes to support.

-a lot of natives still use facebook! There are often facebook groups specifically for listing powwows by state or treaty region

-find out which tribes/band/nations are near you, and then look up their websites or social media pages

-if you have some idea of what tribe's land you're on, do a search for their name + powwow, ex "Lakota powwows"

-there may be an aboriginal friendship center near you, which are kind of like community centers and often have good information about where to find native events. Call or send them an email, use your good manners, and ask if they can point you toward the nearest powwow
