who would win between reinhard van astrea vs squirrel girl
reinhard
squirrel girl
Power scaling anything with kid cosmic universe is hilarious, because it's like "here's a character that can teleport anywhere by thinking about that place, and cut anything and send you to a fake universe where you'll be trapped until you realise it's fake, but also she's a teenager and loses her power idiotically multiple times"
There’s something kind of wild to me about how part of the One Piece fandom engages with the story it claims to love. This is a story that, from the very beginning, is about freedom, inclusion, rejecting oppressive systems, and basic human dignity and yet so many online discussions reduce it to a “who’s stronger” contest. Powerscaling is fine as a game, but it becomes a problem when it completely overshadows what the story is actually about. One piece has never been about power levels. it’s about people, dreams, injustice, and the fight against it.
This mindset bleeds into other things too. You see it in the way some people treat female characters, reducing complex characters to their looks or calling them “less relevant” just because they don’t fight a certain way. It’s such a shallow reading, and it ignores how important they are to the story’s emotional core and themes.
Same goes for the way the story handles racism. Entire arcs are built around discrimination, inherited hatred, and breaking that cycle and yet you still see people in the fandom echoing the exact attitudes the story is criticizing.
At the end of the day, consuming a story isn’t the same as understanding it. And loving it should mean actually listening to what it’s trying to say. Otherwise… what are you even engaging with?
Demon slayer hot takes power scaling + personal takes as well:
A/n: This is something I probably won't do much but goddamm this fandom is trash at power scaling and the misinformation doesn't help. Not going to elaborate much. I can rant for hours on these scalings but am too lazy too. Feel free to disagree but if your toxic you will be blocked. This is my opinion as a power scaler.

DEATH BATTLE YOU FUCKING LARPERS GIVE MY GOAT THE WIN HE DESERVES
I think someone needs to coin terms to distinguish powerscaling as a thought exercise, powerscaling as a form of agendaposting, and powerscaling as a critique of a work's internal consistency, cause people quickly realised they can just treat them all like the same thing to easily dismiss points they don't like (eg. Discourse surrounding Invincible or the series finale of The Boys, especially when it comes to Homelander)
I think Nicole Watterson could beat Goku. No, I haven’t seen Dragon Ball.
