I made these! Just a few of my creations from the Spring session of my Wheelthrowing class. This was my second time taking the Advanced Beginning level after a year in Beginning. 😊 Pictured here are:
1 - My first time trying Tea Dust!
2 - Another glaze experiment :)
3 - First time trying sgraffito
4 - My second porcelain jar! (All of these are porcelain btw. ^^)
5 - My 2nd ever teapot! I wasn't too keen on how the glaze turned out so here it is as bisqueware, along with a bonus photo in its leather hard greenware stage
6 - My 1st successful plate (I say successful because the first time I made one during the Winter session I accidentally cut through it 😆)!

One bowl at a time.
Quiet hands. Quiet mind.
So, first time behind the pottery wheel after about a year. The foot pedal broke, I fixed it and decided to use it upside down because, why not? I couldn't thrown a cylinder to save my life, but hey I still know how to center the clay. That's a win. I feel a bit disappointed, and pissed, but I know I need to give myself time. It's been way too long and it's not like I was a master at it before. I need practice. And patience. I'll try again tomorrow 💪

Man, there’s nothing like hauling a 70 lb pottery wheel out of your basement all by yourself and trying to find the tool to dismantle the legs so it fits in the trunk of your car 🤠
Another friend joined the crib, but I don't have any clay to test it out yet 😠
