Minerva, Romance, and Three Headmasters
âââ
A moment of silence between the headmistress and the man on the other side of the large desk. Then, the man put on a friendly smile, offering his hand, and he said,
"Just think about it ;; let me know your decision." After a couple of words of goodbye, the man had left the headmaster's office. The second the door closed with a thud, one of the former headmasters in the portraits did not hesitate to intervene with Minerva McGonagall's thought process.
"Go out with him," Albus said joyfully, "Accept his invitation and go out with him." Minerva, in response, looked at her friend in the portrait and rolled her eyes.
"I'm not going out with him, Albus."
"He's right, McGonagall, he's a pureblood and not bad-looking either - - - you should accept," echoed another voice through the office ;; Phineas. Minerva McGonagall shook her head, a crooked smile of amused disbelief on her lips, and yet, her cheeks seemed to take another colour.
"You're blushing, Minerva. You do like him, don't you? Go out with him, just once."
"He asked you out on a date, after all ;; and he's still a pureblood, and he works at the Ministry." It was then, whilst Minerva was continuously shaking her head, that a third of the former headmasters began to speak.
"Would you both be quiet and let her be? She has a will and brain of her own. It's /h e r/ decision." With an eyebrow risen, Minerva McGonagall smiled a triumphant smile and looked at the portrait.
"Thank you, Severus."
