While my cooking isn't bad, I would probably rate it around the typical mid-western average. However, I just received probably the greatest compliment on my cooking that I've gotten in years.
I made a texmex-inspired cold salad for dinner tonight and my father loved it so much that he wants me to make it again for a potluck he's going to with his coworkers next week. (I'll finally be able to show up the lady that used to work in catering who always cooks too much amazing food and sends everybody home with doggybags~!)
The last time anyone complimented me so much was when I spent my allowance on ingredients to bring a full duck a l'orange to Thanksgiving when I was twelve years old and accidentally ended up showing up my grandma's special turkey. She was so ticked off at me that I got banned from bringing a bird to every subsequent family gathering after that. xD

Chorizo and eggs are my favorite meal.
- chorizo or soyrizo soft sausage of your choice: you’re gonna want about the end of your thumb to your knuckle worth of length of packaging per person you’re serving.
- if you like it spicy, add 1 egg per person to a small bowl. If you like it mild, add 2 eggs per person instead.
- add a splash of milk (fluffy) or water (less fluffy) to the bowl. Whisk with a fork until homogenous
- Put just the meat it simmer until it’s cooked through. Then add the egg and scramble.
- eat by itself, with tortillas, or with rice and beans!
Enjoy! This is a quick one :)

My sister and I's favorite stickybuns 😋
We always make them together and split the work in half, one on toppings one on dough and then come together and combine them. Gotta put the blanket (wet towel) over the dough baby in its crib (oiled bowl) while it takes a nap (waiting for it to rise). Calling it a dough baby is very important to the process. Trust.
Its always a fun bonding activity for us and at the end we get to eat stickybuns. We watch TV while we wait for the dough to rise. Highly recommend if you have a friend/sibling/partner to make it with.
This looks delicious! Tell your sister thank you from us.
A pretty easy oven baked crispy chicken recipe I like to celebrate triple digits. Takes about 30 minutes to make and you dont HAVE to use chicken just any bake-able meat or meat substitute.
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts or equivalent
¼ cup of panko bread crumbs
¼ shredded cheese (whatever you prefer)
1 tbsp of butter
Cooking oil or nonstick spray
And whatever spices you want
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Mix the spices, panko, and cheese in a bowl. Melt the butter in a separate bowl. Pour the butter into the bowl with the panko and mix thoroughly until its clumpy and sticking together. Set aside and lightly oil/spray a baking sheet. Pat your meat of choice dry and set on the sheet. Hand-place the panko mixture on top of the meats, pressing the mixture into it as you do so it sticks to it. Place in the oven for about 18-22 minutes. Pull out and serve ✨️
