Hi there!! I came across your post while looking through for a solution to the whole 'PotPlayer skipping frames' issue, since it's one I've consistently had. I hope this helps you and anyone else googling to find the issue (since there's not many fixes out there). When you open the player, right click and go to video > video processing settings (it'll be at the very bottom). (1/2)
When this pulls up the processing settings, change the video renderer (it's at the top) from auto to Built-in OpenGL Video Renderer. Other settings may also work, but I haven't tested them. Try capturing the frames and it should work correctly! My number of frames is set to 99,999 but I don't think that matters, and frame is selected with 1. Obviously that's only if you wanna capture every frame, but I figure 2 will work right too. Really hope this helps anyone struggling with this issue! (2/2)
oh my gosh thanks anon! i haven’t tried it yet, but will definitely update this ask when i do and whether or not it worked for me. putting this in the potplayer tag for anyone else who might need it! :)
edit: it’s come to my attention that i’ve forgotten to update this and this worked for me personally! definitely try it if any of you are having problems.
