there's a ton of potential for crazy fix its post 200, and i think one cool potential is time travel aus meshed with that 200 ending, where martin and jon know full well what they're trying to prevent. more specifically... time travel au where martin and jon wake up in early archives days (pre archives? season 1? season 2?) after the lights go out in 200, but! they have absolutely no idea the other survived and is back in their older body with them. cue just absolute mountains of angst as the two of them start working to prevent all these bad things from happening (killing elias? stopping the web? making sure no one rogue came back with them somehow? are they sure they've actually time traveled and not just dimension hopped?) while also being absolutely wracked with guilt. because jon and martin both think the other has died, back in the apocalypse, and that the version they're with now is the original version who doesn't remember any of this. and they also both blame themselves for the other dying. at least they can save everyone now -- can save this version of the person they love, even if they'll always be a stranger...
ok but this has been in my mind for the month since the ending was released, but like, imagine if after the ending... Georgie heard about the safe house from Basira, and then Georgie feels like she has to go you know, just, as a final piece of goodby from one of her best friends you know? and it's not like she has any other stuff of Jon to remember him by, because that Jon at this point practically lived at the institute and Martin was so lonely near the end that his apartment will have nothing important
but then she learns about the safe house from Basira and what? there is a place where Jon and Martin just got to live together and be themselves??? it must have something to remember him by!! stuff to... bury them both, as they do not have bodies to bury
so she decides to go, and of course that Melanie comes with her because that will be emotional and she wants to support her girlfriend. and they have no idea how to get there so Basira has to come with them to show them exactly where that is,
so they all just, walk to the Scotland safe house, and what if they like, find pictures with an old camera that Martin found???? or videos???? of just, Martin and Jon dancing together to songs in their heads, to them hugging, what if they find a recording of Jon's laugh?? or Martin hugging Jon and not letting go???
and the physical artifacts??? what if they find some of Martin's old sweaters??? some of Jon's books???? recipes???? some of the love poetry that Martin wrote Jon??
