From feelings to a KNOWING...
I think reason T&S has garnered such interest in their personal lives is b/c we are picking up on a beautiful energy which is so inspiring. Just like how falling in love can induce ppl to make positive changes, this secondhand love I've fallen into has done same for me. I've been able to be more honest with myself about what I do/don't want in a relationship + I now have a lighter energy abt dating (unlike many of my cynical single gf's). Would love to know - has T&S inspired others similarly?

I have mentioned it before. I have thought a lot about why we all get so captivated by Tessa and Scott. And it is not just about their skating, it is about their connection. Because I have been enthralled by their skating since 2008. But I did not start shipping them until their comeback.
In a previous post I likened this thing that Tessa and Scott has to having someone smile at you, a real honest smile. Imagine you walk by someone who sends you a real genuine smile. For most people, their instinct is to smile back at that person. You may not have even know the person or exchanged a word, but you walk away feeling lighter. It makes you happy, at least for a fleeting moment.
To me Tessa and Scott has been signalling inwards to each other, but also outwards. They have been projecting this big giant warm love filled sexual tension like a giant smile. And we just cannot help ourselves from smiling back at them. It is the same impulse we have when watching romantic movies, reading a heartfelt story, and cry at sappy commercials.
So in short, the positive side of shipping is just is sending a giant love fest back at Tessa and Scott. Because it makes us light and happy (even if it is fleeting for some).
