I feel like this is one of the few times that I've seen Pete and Goofy specifically referred to as a cat and dog.
I haven't read every single Disney comic, but Mickey being a mouse and Donald being a duck feels like they come up a lot more than Goofy being a dog and Pete being a cat. And this is arguably the case in most Mickey & Friends media across the board (excluding the Rudish shorts which do show Goofy being a dog).
It gets to the point that many people don't even know what species Pete is sometimes. So I just think it's interesting when I catch moments of it being specifically pointed out

Honestly, I do love the fact the pettiness from Mickey Rouges is mostly one sided, sure Mick can be cheeky, but he's still willingly to save them from getting themselves killed and let them get there matters in order when there being genuine.
