Pull pork that is tender and full of flavor, with tangy Carolina-style flavors that make it great for sandwiches, tacos, or rice.
Ingredients: 4-5 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed. 1 cup apple cider vinegar. 1/2 cup ketchup. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons mustard. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon chili powder. 1 tablespoon paprika. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix together apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Place pork shoulder in the slow cooker. Pour the vinegar mixture over the pork, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork. Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the cooking juices. Serve the pulled pork on buns or over rice, and enjoy!
